Movie of the Week: Les Misérables

After putting it off for more than a month now, I finally got around to go to the movies to see Les Mis, directed by Tom Hooper.

I absolutely love musicals and musical movies, so I thought this movie was perfect! I didn’t know the story and now I absolutely want to see the musical (glad it’s still in London and it will be back to Broadway next year).

Hugh Jackman just blew me away with his interpretation of Jean Valjean, who knew “Wolverine” could sing?! Apparently it was not exactly news, because he’s done it before, but still, it blew me away!

Another person who’s interpretation left me speechless was Anne Hathaway as Fantine. I know she was highly criticized this award season for all her speeches and “false modesty”, but I think she deserved her oscar (golden globe and so on). She’s pretty terrific.

Russell Crowe as Javert was probably the less impressive vocal interpretation on the movie. Still, I thought he was pretty good! And his suicide was one of the hardest to watch scenes of the movie…

I’m totally crushing on Eddie Redmayne after seeing this movie! His interpretation of Marius is moving and so sad and inspiring. And what a voice! Oh man! And Amanda Seyfried as Cosette was just perfect…

Along with this couple, comes the brilliant performance of Samantha Barks as Éponine. She’s definitely the breakout performer in this movie! She had previously played the role of Éponine in the London production of Les Mis, so she was clearly brilliant in the movie.

Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter were magnificent as Thénardier and Madame Thénardier. They brought a lightness and humor to an overall dark and super sad story. (Also, I think anything Helena does is brilliant)

Worth mentioning too, is Aaron Tveit as Enjolras, the leader of the students rebellion, who is the voice of reason to Marius after he falls in love with Cosette, reminding him of what is important.

Finally, the protagonists of some of the most emotional scenes in this movie are two children: Daniel Huttlestone as the young boy Gavroche and Isabelle Allen as a young Cosette, whose rendition of Castle on a Cloud is just impressive.

This movie is just spectacular! The first scene of the movie, with the prisoners bringing the ship to the docks is amazing… And the fact that all the songs were sung live while shooting it is just out of this world! AMAZING!

The most shameless Shameless ever

Last night’s Shameless episode (Cascading Failures S03E06) had, in my opinion, 3 of the most shameless moments ever on the show. The plot is quite simple: the kids are taken away, Liam and Carl go to a gay couple who intend to adopt Liam, Debbie goes to a house already full of kids, where they all work, and Lip and Ian go to a group home for delinquents; Fiona needs Frank to get the kids back, who along with Sheila (posing as Monica) takes parenting classes; all the while Veronica and Kevin are still on the baby mission that now involves her mother as a surrogate.

Snapshot 4 (25-02-2013 21-57)

All the episode is filled with little shameless moments as always, like Carl stealing from the foster parents, or the woman who’s fostering Debbie ordering a kid to clip her toenails, or Lip getting Mandy inside the group home for a conjugal visit and basically every scene about the baby making with V, Kev and mom. But there were 3 moments last night that truly took my breath away.

Frank stores pee in his mouth

In the whole “get the kids back” thing, Frank has to stay clean, but it proves a little difficult, so he pees before he takes more drugs. Because he will be examined before actually going to pee, he gets creative… and GOD, it’s disgusting!

Ian is forced to watch Mickey have sex with a prostitute

Ian sneaks out of the group home for a sleep over at Mickey’s. They watch action movies, laugh, eat (Mickey with oven mitts was amazing), drink, and for a moment there, they actually look like a happy couple. In the morning however, they are caught in a more intimate moment by Mickey’s father, that beats the crap out of Ian, then beats Mickey, while aiming a gun at Ian, and the he calls a prostitute to have sex with his son to “f**k the f****t out” of him, making Ian watch. The pain in Ian’s face was quite palpable, as well as the pain in Mickey’s mangled face, before he decides to get it over with… (I actually like these 2 together and this scene was brutal for me to watch!)

V makes Kev and her mom f*** that leads to a weird threesome

I thought last week’s idea of the “insemination” was pretty bad, but this week was way way shameless. Because the first planned didn’t work (because her mom always vomits the morning after she gets knocked up), V decides it’s time for a more traditional method of baby making. So, she talks her husband and her mother to conceive a child, the old fashion way! They start with her mom covered with a sheet with a hole in it, so Kev doesn’t actually has to see her, then they try again, without the sheet and Kev can’t do it, so V’s mom starts to cry, so V decides the best way is to warm up her man and have her mother come in on the last minute, but that doesn’t work that well either. So V decides it has to happen and that’s it, so she lays Kevin down, sits on his face and tells her mother to ride him. Weirdest, most strange moment yet for these adorable characters…

Bones: when the secondary characters are the most interesting!

Bones has been around for 8 years now and at some point the main couple, Booth and Brennan were bound to become a little less interesting, because we’ve been exploring them for 8 years now. But the truth is, what do we actually know about them?

We know a lot about Brennan by now and when she got pregnant with Christine, we actually saw her change a little, become a little more mellow, and that was good, because after 6 ½ years of being so calculated and a little bit cold, I wanted to see a more “normal” Bones. But then, along the way of progression, comes an episode where she totally regresses to what she was!

She and Booth moved in together, started to raise a child together, and although they are still the same, their characters lost something! Probably because they “got together” for all the wrong reasons, but something definitely feels wrong about their relationship. I want them together, sure, it was bound to happen from season 1, but maybe it happened just a little too fast and, for me ate least, they lost something along the way (and no, I’m not talking about the Moonlight curse!). I actually loved season 7, my problem rose in the middle of season 8 1st midseason (around episode 6 or 7).

For me the problem is that I find the secondary characters (including the recurring guest stars) a lot more interesting that the main 2! And another problem, especially this season, is that they are not developing these characters properly!

Let’s for instance look at last week’s episode. How long it had been since we saw Michelle? It was good to know that Michelle and Finn were still together, because it hadn’t been mentioned in a while… also, Cam and Vaziri… wouldn’t it be nice to actually see them together once in a while?

Hodgins and Angela’s life has been explored a lot, I’ll give them that.

Sweets, when he was with Daisy, was explored too. But now? He went on actual dates with the FBI agent, Olivia? When? Considering that when they met he was still with Daisy, when did these things happen? And isn’t it time to explore his past efficiently, instead of mentioning for several seasons now and never getting anywhere? He’s one of the most interesting people in the team. And also, please move him out of Booth and Brennan’s house!

Cam has so much in her life that we want to know, and we have what? Three episodes in one season that actually are a bit about her?

And let’s talk about the squinterns: Clark Edison, Daisy Wick, Finn Abernathy, Arastoo Vaziri, Wendell Bray, Colin Fisher.

bones_7aky14_2500_640x360_7546435926 (1)

Clark is the only one with a PhD and has been around the longest (season 3-8), with a total of 20 episodes. I feel that Clark has been fairly well explored in the past, back when they actually did some exploring the characters… although, now we know almost nothing about him, except that he works full time in the Jeffersonian in the Anthropology department. But he was really funny once, and now? His last appearance was bleak! No funny remarks of how he didn’t want to know people’s personal lives, no over-sharing, no nothing!

Daisy, even dating Sweets, only appeared in 16 episodes so far (season 4-8). She was always entertaining, but I think it’s time for her retirement. Now that she and Sweets are definitely over, I feel her time in the team is done…

Colin is always fun to have around, but he goes long periods without showing up =/. He has a total of 11 episodes (season 4-8), but has seasons with only 1 appearance. I feel that the last episode that his nature was truly shown was when he, Hodgins and Sweets go to the Avatar premiere (a long long time ago)…

Wendell is the squintern with more onscreen time, with a total of 24 episodes (season 4-8), and he had his glory days, when he was well used… he had a relationship with Angela, his a great friend to Hodgins, and he’s the only one who’s personal life is mentioned at least once in a while. But he’s one of the most beloved squinterns and I feel they could do so much more with him!

Finn was the last squintern to join the group, to replace Vincent Nigel-Murray, and has appeared in 6 episodes so far (season 7 and 8). He has a complicated back story, he’s super young, sweet and he’s dating Michelle (Cam’s daughter). The last time they were seen together (prior to last week’s episode) was the actual episode where they met and started dating, “The Bump in the Road”. Shouldn’t he at least be mention more often?!

Arastoo has appears in 12 episodes so far (season 4-8) and had a great beginning, with the fake accent thing, then there was the constant prayer thing, and then he changed fields but ended up coming back… This season he had two shining moments: the first was the episode about 9/11, and then there was the moment when we realize that he is dating Cam. But doesn’t that story have so much that can be explored? Since we found out that they are dating, he hasn’t shown up again (we do know they are still dating because last week Cam told so to Michelle…). I for once would love to know how that relationship came to be!

I like all the squinterns, and I find myself watching the show every week so that I can see which one is there this week and what amazing story is going to be played out by them. However, there are a lot of them… and none of them has been well used story wise. So, why are they adding another one? (the new intern starts tomorrow, Dr. Oliver)

I get that each one of them as a different relationship with Brennan and this new one will have a different one. But shouldn’t they pick better from the ones they already have? And shouldn’t they use them better? To this day we only had two episodes when all (or most) of the squinterns came together: one was a hallucination and another was the one about 9/11… Couldn’t they mix and match a little more?

My Top 6 Moments of this Week’s TV

My favorite moments of the week! There were a lot of great other moments, like the Cam/Michelle/Finn triangulation on Bones, or Sheldon admitting that Penny helped him on The Big Bang Theory, or all the meet-cute’s of this week’s Cougar Town, or all the Sarah/Neal moments on White Collar, … But this is my week’s top 6! (Update: I just got around to watch last Sunday’s Shameless and I just had to include it!)

1. Community (S04E03 – Conventions of Space and Time)

This has been, so far, my favorite episode of the season. It had a great concept, costumes and my favorite 2 moments of the week.

The first is right in the beginning, when Britta has to sneak out of Troy’s room through the window so that Abed doesn’t find out that they’re sleeping together. She dresses on her way, in a highly skilled manner, curls her hair with Annie’s curly iron and lands on the corridor outside the apartment where she gets the bag of donuts she had hidden, along with her shoes and then she knocks on the door… genius…

And the moment when Jeff tells Annie that if she was really his wife, he wouldn’t be flirting with another woman in the hotel lobby… priceless!

(Note: I keep reading critiques to this Community post-Harmon era… I liked the 1st episode, I did not care at all for the second, but this one was pretty good! People keep telling that it feels off… well, every show has a point where it has to take a slightly different direction or it will have no space to grow…)

2. Beauty and the Beast (S01E14 – Tough Love)

That kiss… it finally happened. And by the preview of next week’s installment, that’s not the only thing that will happen…

Catherine: “Crazy stuff happens, all I want to do is share it with you, figure it out with you. My ‘normal’  it’s when I’m with you. I love you! I don’t need walls or doors.”

Vicent: “I’m so in love with you.”

3. Shameless (S03E05 – The Sins of My Caretaker)

Mickey kisses Ian! A moment I actually thought wasn’t going to happen on TV (probably because I read on Cameron Monaghan twitter that he thought it wouldn’t happen either). But it did. After Ian told Mickey that at least Lloyd wasn’t afraid of kissing him, and while preparing for a robbery  Mickey gets back in the van and kisses his man! Aleluia!

The episode had another amazing moment: the phone call Lip does to Karen. Priceless!

4. Castle (S05E15 – Target)

That hug Kate gives Rick after Alexis has been kidnapped, while Gates is probably watching… it speaks volumes about her feelings for him…

5. How I Met Your Mother (S08E17 – The Ashtray)

Just loved the moment when when the Captain offers Lily a job as an art consultant… After she voiced her pain about not being anything more than a kindergarten teacher, it was a definite win for her and she totally deserves it!

6. Law & Order: SVU (S14E15 – Deadly Ambition)

Poor Amanda Rollins! She spends all her time trying to help her sister only to find out that Kim orchestrated the whole plan, to have Amanda kill her boyfriend… The moment when Amanda realizes what her sister has done and then she gets to her newly emptied apartment… heartbreaking!

Rachel and Ross: “We were on a break!”

One of the biggest form of conflict during Friends 10 years run was the “were they or weren’t they on a break?!

Ross was in love with Rachel for so many years until she finally saw him in the same way… they started dating in season 2, but season 3 came with problems for the couple: Rachel got a new job, and a new hot colleague, she stopped having time for Ross, which made him a bit nutty and extremely jealous. So on the night of their 1st anniversary, Rachel informs Ross that she’s working late (again) and in a desperate attempt to save the night, Ross shows up at the office with a picnic basket that leads to disaster, with Rachel asking him to leave. Back at home she wants him to apologize and he feels he shouldn’t, because he’s tired of having a relationship with her answering machine and never being able to see her…

So, tired of fighting, Rachel utters the words that change everything: “Maybe we should take a break.“. Ross responds lightly, not having understood the real meaning of the phrase: “You’re right. Let’s cool off, get some frozen yoghurt.“, but Rachel insists: “No, a break from us.“.

Ross’s heartbroken and goes to meet Joey and Chandler at a bar and after talking to the guys, he decides to call Rachel because he doesn’t want to break up, only to hear Mark, one of the reasons for they break, on the background (Mark was with Rachel at home). Mad and hurt, Ross hangs up and gets drunk, and ends up dancing with Chloe (the girl from the copy place) that makes a move at him and the two end up sleeping together…

Meanwhile, Rachel has realized she doesn’t want to take a break either and call Ross to make up.

The morning after, Ross, realizing what he’s done, wants to tell Rach the truth, but his friends advise otherwise, so he goes to all the people who know to make sure they don’t tell her, only to arrive too late, because Gunther already did.

So starts the fight that makes this one of the saddest episodes of the series, and that makes the path for many other fights of the “we were on a break” theme, ending with Rachel saying that “You’re a totally different person to me now. I used to think of you as somebody that would never, ever hurt me. Ever. God, and now I can’t stop picturing you with her. I can’t. It doesn’t matter what you say or what you do, Ross. It’s just changed everything. Forever.“. This is the official end…

So here starts the real discussions everywhere:

Were they or were they not on a break?

And my answer is: YES! I truly believe they were on a break…

I’m not saying that what he did was right, but he was sad and vulnerable and super drunk. For all he knew they had break up, he called her and she was with another man. What would anyone think about that?!

Speaking of which… what was she doing inviting another man to her place? When Mark said he was coming over, her answer had to be a categorical NO. Instead she allowed him to come over and lets face it, all the talking he did while she was on the phone with Ross, was clearly to tick him off.

Rachel spends most of the next season defending her stand of how they weren’t broken up, but the fact is, in the beginning of The One With The Morning After, she clearly tells Monica that she and Ross broke up the night before. So later when she tells him that they weren’t broken up, they were just on a break, it really isn’t true, not even for her… So both of them had the notion, although extremely wrong, that a break equals a break up.

So I’m not saying she did not have the right to get upset and hurt and all of those things… she did! He hurt her. But should the break thing be such a big deal?! NO… they had the same definition of it… And lets face it, Ross suffered a lot since she got that job… he tried to tell her that it was just a job and not her life, he complained several times that they weren’t spending any time together, and she did nothing to change things…

To resume it: I attribute about 75% of what happened to Rachel and 25% to Ross, and in my humble opinion…

Castle: save Alexis!

This week Castle (S05E15 – Target) was absolutely heartbreaking! It’s OK to cry at the climax of a TVshow episode, aka, the end, but when you start crying in the first 15 minutes, it’s bad!!!

The team starts to investigate a murder, that leads them to finding out that a daughter of a Middle Eastern businessman was kidnapped and that Alexis was taken along with her!

With the FBI called in, everybody does their best to find the girls, while a devastated Castle struggles to keep at float. Kate does what she can, that is not much more than to hug her man, while Castle warns her that Gates will see them, she simply responds “I don’t care.”. This leads Gates to tell Beckett “You do whatever you need to do to get him back his little girl. Anything you need detective.”.

At home Castle waits for some call while the team narrows down the path of the kidnapping van to a 20 block radius, and when Kate tries to tell him that they will find her, Castle cut her of “Don’t… promise me you’ll find her unless you can do it. Because I’ll never forgive you, anymore than I’d ever forgive myself.”.

They eventually find the van and Rick can’t control himself and goes to the site, only to find out that the vehicle is full of blood and he starts to lose it. Lanie preforms a quick test to determine the blood type and it doesn’t match either Alexis or Sara. It’s the driver’s blood. They find him at his sister’s house and Castle gets out of him the location of where they are keeping them (“I appealed to his humanity” “I didn’t think you had that side to you.” “When it comes to the people I love, I do.” ). Castle tells Beckett what he felt when Alexis was born… “I knew my life had changed forever… and now it’s about to change again.”

The FBI raids the farm, only to find it empty and the guy who actually did the kidnapping shot and tortured. At this point they are out of leads!

Meanwhile the girls wake up to find themselves in a room with no windows, with a bathroom and a door. They are giving them clothes and food, so they want them alive. While Sara panics, Alexis is quick to try to figure out where they are: they are not in a basement and they are not in NY! A strong Alexis decides they must make a run for it and she picks the lock on the door with bobby pins (thing that she practice when she was 10 when her dad was doing research for a book… he even bought a door to practice!), and on the hallway instructs Sara to take another route because that will double the chances of one of them making it. She finds a phone in an office but can’t dial 911, so she very quickly skypes her dad but has to leave the phone when she hears a noise. With the skype call still on, she runs to the roof of the building…

In NY the tracing team is done, but they think it’s impossible…

Alexis thinks so too, as she stumbles to the vision a the Eiffel tower just before she’s taken again…

Alexis is in Paris! (Continue next week…)

Nathan Fillion blew me away in this episode. He’s an amazing actor, but the pain in his face… man! I cried everytime he did… which made eating my dinner a little bit hard…

Alexis (Molly Quinn) was amazing! Exactly how I would imagine her to react to such situation… Martha was right! Alexis is utterly amazing!

Molly Quinn is as amazing as her Alexis! Just look at that face…

My Top 15 Bromances

Romantic couples aren’t the only type of great TV relationships. Some of the most entertainment moments come from some great guy to guy friendships, also known as bromances.

1. Joey & Chandler (Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry) – Friends

My favorite bromance ever has to be Joey and Chandler’s from Friends! Man, they had some good times: lost Ben on the bus, bought a Foosball table together, shared a great love for leather chairs and Baywatch, raised a Duck and a Chick, had matching bracelets (crazy ugly ones), between other crazy and memorable adventures! They loved each other and weren’t afraid of showing it! Joey even protected his bro when he thought that Monica was having an affair. Chandler, on his hand, supported Joey for most of the show, paying for acting lessons, food, rent and basically everything else, and even got rid of the ladies Joey brought home in the morning, telling them that he wasn’t in the whole relationship thing and baking them pancakes! Could they be more funny?!

Joey: “We’re bracelet buddies!”
Chandler: “That’s what they’ll call us!”

2. Abed & Troy (Danny Pudi and Donald Glover) – Community

They have their own secret handshake, they moved in together (and occupied only one room, so they could have another room for The Dreamatorium), they had wars of pillows and blankets and they even have an imaginary morning show together! And now that Troy actually has a girlfriend (sort of), it has been said that she might not have that much room, because she’s competing with Troy’s other significant other: Abed!

Troy and Abed in the mor-ning!

3. JD & Turk (Zach Braff and Donald Faison) – Scrubs

Roommates in college and best friends forever! They were always there for each other, driving the women in their lives crazy sometimes. They had nicknames for each other (“Brown Bear” and “Vanilla Bear”), many inside jokes and they even performed a musical number dedicated to their bro love.

Let’s face the facts about me and you, a love unspecified. Though I’m proud to call you chocolate bear, the crowd will
always talk and stare.
I feel exactly those feelings too, and that’s why I keep them inside, cause this bear can’t stand the world’s disdain, and
sometimes it’s easier to hide.
Then explain our guy love, that’s all it is, guy love, he’s mine I’m his. There’s nothing gay about it in our eyes.
You ask me ’bout this thing we share
And he tenderly replies…
It’s guy love
Between two guys
we’re closer than the average man and wife
That’s why our matching bracelets say Turk and J.D.
You know I’ll stick with you for the rest of my life
You’re the only man who’s ever been inside of me.
Whoa, Whoa, I just took out his appendix
There’s no need to clarify.
Oh No?
Just let it grow more and more each day. It’s like I married my best friend
But in a totally manly way.
Let’s go! It’s guy love, don’t compromise the feeling of some other guy holding up your heart into the sky
I’ll be there to care through all the lows
I’ll be there to share the highs. uh!
It’s guy love between two guys
And when I say, I love you Turk. It’s not what it implies.
It’s guy love between two guys

4. Sam & Dean (Jared Paladecki and Jensen Ackles) – Supernatural

These 2 are actually brothers, but they have the most awesome brotherly relationship TV has ever seen! They would die for each other, literally!!! And they have, both of them, more than once… They’re awesome!!!

I’m a grunt Sam. You’re not. You’ve always been the brains of this operation. And you told me yourself that you see a way out. You see a light at the end of this ugly ass tunnel. I don’t. But I’ll tell you what I do know is that I’m going to die with a gun in my hand. Look that’s what I have waiting for me. That’s all I have waiting for me. I want you to get out. I want you to have a life. Become a Men of Letters, whatever. You with a wife and kids and…and…and grandkids, living until you’re fat and bald and chugging Viagra. That is my perfect ending and it’s the only on that I’m going to get. So I’m going to do these trials. I’m going to do them alone. End of story. You’re staying here. I’m going out there. If land shark comes knocking, you call me. If you try to follow me, I am going to put a bullet in your damn leg.

5. Dean & Castiel (Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins) – Supernatural

The sarcastic hunter and the naive angel, with very poor social skills, are a match made, well, in heaven! It’s probably the most entertaining bromance on TV, and most of the times they don’t even have to say a word!

My superiors have decided I’ve become too close to my charges and starting to show emotions, the doorway to doubt.

6. Chuck & Morgan (Zachary Levi and Joshua Gomez) – Chuck

Oh… I miss Chuck! Chuck and Morgan were best friends since childhood, grew up watching the same movies, playing the same video games  having the same interests and, even after Chuck went to college, they ended up working in the same place. They even got to live together for a while! Chuck suffered when he had to keep the fact the he had the intersect from his best buddy, but when Morgan found out, he joined the team ;-).

Morgan is more than just my best friend. He’s my family. Before you got here, and long after you’ve gone, Morgan is my family.

7. Damon & Alaric (Ian Somerhalder & Matt Davis) – The Vampire Diaries

Alaric arrived on Mystic Falls hell bent on killing Damon, but it was Damon that got his way and killed the history teacher (luckily he was wearing the Gilbert ring and that was the first of many deaths to come). Then they started working together because they had to, and soon enough they were drinking buddies. And just like that, Damon was calling Ric his brother and Alaric was being mention as Damon’s best friend! But they are obvious downsides to being besties with a Vampire, you’re bound to end up dead… Ric died in Damon’s arms, in an heartbreaking scene when the snarkiest of all vampires in Mystic Falls realizes that he’s just lost his best friend and the woman he loves. (OMG, I miss Alaric and snarky Damon)

You know what they are? Children. Like lighting a candle’s going to make everything OK, or even saying a prayer. Or pretending Elena’s not going to end up just like the rest of us murdering vampires. Stupid, delusional, exasperating little children. And I know what you’re going to say: ‘It makes them feel better, Damon.’ So what? For how long? A minute, a day? What difference does it make? Because in the end, when you lose somebody, every candle, every prayer is not going to make up for the fact that the only thing you have left is hole in your life where that somebody that you cared about used to be. And a rock with a birthday carved into it that I’m pretty sure is wrong. So thanks, friend. Thanks for leaving me here to babysit. Because I should be long gone by now. I didn’t get the girl, remember? I’m just stuck here fighting my brother and taking care of the kids. You owe me big.

8. Andy & Bobby (Ian Gomez and Brian Van Holt) – Cougar Town

This bromance, at times, seems like a full blown romance! Andy even said that if his wife died, he would want to raise his son with Bobby!!! Andy’s love for his “man” is notorious, but Bobby has his moments too, such as giving Andy a sweater for Valentine’s Day!

I feel like I’m cheating on Andy.

9. Ted & Marshall & Barney (Josh Radnor, Jason Segel and Neil Patrick Harris ) – How I Met Your Mother

Ted is best friends with Marshall since college, they were roommates, then they moved in together and everytime one needs the other, the other is there. But then along came Barney, and man, are they close or what?! Ted is Barney’s best bro!!!

Barney: Ted, can we be friends again?
Ted: Barney, come on, we’re… we’re more than friends. We’re brothers.
Barney: You’re my brother, Ted.
Ted: You’re my brother, Barney.
Barney: Did you hear that, Marshall? We’re brothers, now.
Ted: Marshall’s my brother, too.
Marshall: We’re all brothers.

10. House & Wilson (Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard) – House MD

Wilson put up with so many crap from is bestie… but still, he was always there for him…

Wilson: You can be a real jerk sometimes, you know that?
House: Yeah. And you’re the good guy.
Wilson: At least I try.
House: As long as you’re trying to be good, you can do whatever you want.
Wilson: And as long as you’re not trying, you can say whatever you want.
House: So between us, we can do anything. We can rule the world!

11. Ryan & Esposito (Seamus Dever and  Jon Huertas) – Castle

They’re are partners and best friends and yet, they’re as different as two people can be. But that doesn’t mean they don’t love each other…

Yeah, except we’re not a couple of top heavy co-eds out looking for fun. We’re highly trained officers of the law with enough fire power to take out a horde of undead.

12. Howard Wolowitz & Raj Koothrappali (Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar) – The Big Bang Theory

They are inseparable and, until the point that Howard actually found Bernadette, everyone kind of thought these two would end up together… because let’s face, Raj’s metro-sexuality is kind of gray…

He doesn’t do anything for me. If I were going to go that way, I’m more of a Zac Efron kind of guy.

13. Peter & Neil  (Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer) – White Collar

Peter was the only man who could catch Neal… twice! They have their differences, but their relationship is important for both of them, so much so, that Neal hated lying to Peter when Elizabeth asked him to, and Peter hated being lied to… (Just a small mention to Mozzie, that is awesome and has a bit of bromance going on there too… with Neal obviously, but we can see something growing with Peter 2!)

neal cardi 1

(Matt Bomer is HOT!)

Because you are the only one who could change my mind.

14. Mark & Derek (Eric Dane and Patrick Dempsey) – Grey’s Anatomy

Their friendship survived Mark’s affair with Derek’s wife, Mark’s affair with little Grey, and many other complications. But they were friends and had great moments of pure bromance… and then Mark died!

He was like my brother. I have four sisters. Four very…annoying sisters. Mark was my brother, it’s hard.

15. Hiro & Ando (Masi Oka and James Kyson) – Heroes

Hiro told Ando he had the power to manipulate time and Ando believed him! That’s all that’s needed to say!

You look badass.

My Top 20 TV couples

»» New Top 20 TV Couples – 20 to 16 ; 15 to 11; 10 to 6 and 5 to 1 ««

Here’s my top choices for couples of TV shows and it’s so hard to choose…

1. Monica & Chandler (Courteney Cox & Matthew Perry) – Friends

They started out as friends, great friends, they had the closest boy-girl friendship of the group right from episode 1. They knew each other’s biggest secrets, they were always sitting close, holding hands, comforting one another. But it wasn’t ’till the end of season 4 that things moved forward… In a twist that no one saw coming, Chandler and Monica hooked up in London on the night before Ross’s wedding to Emily, and even though they decided that it was something that should be left in London, their return to NY saw the beginning of the more stable, adult and committed relationship of the show! They dated in secret for a few months, after 1 year decided to live together, 1 year after they proposed to each other, at the end of season 7 they tied the knot and the last episode of season 10 saw the birth of their adopted twins!

Why are they my favorite TV couple?! Chandler is the only man on TV to have successfully escape the “Friend Zone”; they never broke up when things got hard; he faced his fear of commitment; they dealt with being in a secret relationship, coming out, finding out they weren’t able to conceive and went through an adoption process, … They’re the best!

You’re a little high maintenance. I’m sorry. You’re not easy-going, but you’re passionate, and that’s good. And when you get upset about the little things, I think that I’m pretty good about making you feel better about that. And that’s good too. So, they can say that you’re high maintenance, but it’s okay, because I like … maintaining you.

I wondered if I would ever find my prince, my soul mate. Then three years ago, at another wedding I turned to a friend for comfort. And instead, I found everything that I’d ever been looking for my whole life. And now…here we are…with our future before us…and I only want to spend it with you, my prince, my soul mate, my friend.

I thought this was going to be the most difficult thing I had to do, but when I saw you walking down the aisle I realized how simple it was. I love you. Any surprises that come our way, it’s okay, because I will always love you. You are the person I was meant to spend the rest of my life with.

My wife’s an incredible woman. She’s loving and devoted and caring. And don’t tell her I said this but the woman’s always right… I love my wife more than anything in this world. And I… It kills me that I can’t give her a baby… I really want a kid. And when that day finally comes, I’ll learn how to be a good dad. But my wife… she’s already there. She’s a mother… without a baby…

2. Chloe & Oliver (Allison Mack & Justin Hartley) – Smallville

Also known as Watch Tower and Green Arrow, this romance just took us by surprise… Ollie was a womanizer, who was still pinning for Lois (his BFF’ girl), and Chloe, who had lost Jimmy not that long ago, was all work and no play! So it started with a casual thing between two people who wanted to have a little fun, but it turned out that they fell for each other, hard, which lead to him almost loosing everything when she disappeared  and to them having a drunk wedding on the night of Clark and Lois’s bachelor/bachelorette parties. They stuck to their move and when she left to Star City, he followed her! 😉 In season 11 (comics) they continue to work together and she gets pregnant.

Oliver… I never thought I’d have to tell you how I feel about us, because the smile on my lips when I looked at you… pretty much said it all. But now that you won’t be seeing it anymore, I’ll have to use words to tell you. I’ve never loved anyone the way I’ve loved you. And I never will again. You will always be my brightest star, my knight in shining leather, my hero.

It’s the best decision, I don’t remember making.

3. Piper & Leo (Holly Marie Combs & Brian Krause) – Charmed

I’m a big Charmed fan, mostly from season 4 on! Piper and Leo love is epic! Destiny! They didn’t have it easy, she was a charmed one, he was her whitelighter, the Elders didn’t want them together, but they eventually get married and have a kid! Then comes trouble… he becomes an Elder, then he goes a bit crazy, then becomes an Avatar and finally becomes mortal, only so she has to loose him in order to save him! Through all this, with their ups and downs, they never stop loving each other.

Piper, through all the tears and struggles, I always knew in my heart that we’d make it here. I promise to love and respect you from this point forward as your husband, as my wife, my lover, my friend, and my soul mate. All I am is yours.

Leo, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I was afraid that you were too good to be true, that maybe I didn’t deserve someone so pure and beautiful and loving as you are. But here we are surrounded by the people that I love the most and I feel so proud, and so blessed to be your wife. Leo, I was born to love you and I always will.

Heart to thee, body to thee, always and forever, so mote it be.

4. Lois & Clark (Erica Durance & Tom Welling) – Smallville

These 2 are the best! They meet in season 4 and the first time she sees him, he’s naked… But back then there was still Lana in the picture and Lois and Clark bickered a lot… They eventually become friends but it’s not before she dates almost every superhero he knows that they fall for each other. She kisses him in season 6 (thinking that it’s Ollie behind the Green Arrow get up) but only realizes that she’s in love with him in season 8. But it’s not until season 9 that they begin dating (aleluia!)! After hitting a rough patch because she thinks the Blur is another guy entirely, she learns the truth and the two become engaged and even have a wedding in the series finale (although it doesn’t happen just then!).

I wanted these vows to be perfect, but perfection’s a hard thing to get your hands on. But life is meant to be a little messy. And when it comes to love, it’s like my dad always said when it comes to the army. You only sign up if it’s the only thing you can ever imagine doing, and Clark I can not imagine spending a moment of my life without you, so I promise that I will always have your back as you will always have mine. You’re my best friend, you’re my home, you are my true love and I am yours and will be forever.

I, Clark Kent, take you, Lois Lane, to be my companion, forever. With you by my side I will never be alone. Though the world sees a strong and independent woman, I’ve never known someone with such gentle grace and more pure heart. When I’ve been lost you’ve always been there to bring me back, so on this day, at this moment, I pledge the rest of my life to you. You’ve always believed in me, and I believe in you. When you believe in someone it’s not for a minute, or just for now, it’s forever.

5. Marshall & Lily (Jason Segel & Alyson Hannigan) – How I Met Your Mother

What a crazy crazy crazy couple! Brilliant! What’s left to say?! They named their kid Marvin -Wait for it- Eriksen!!!!

If I could nail a celebrity it would be Lily. She’s the star of my heart.

For me it would be Hugh Jackman.

6. Chuck & Sarah (Zachary Levi & Yvonne Strahovski) – Chuck

They are supposed to be in a fake relationship, but he falls for her, so hard! And it’s the geek and the beauty… and then she falls for him too! They eventually start dating, get married and set up their own business… but in a twist that had me crying the whole episode, she loses every memory she has of him =( !!! But they end up together (even if he remembers the last years and she doesn’t!).

I love Chuck Bartowski and I don’t know what to do about it.

7. Richard Castle & Kate Beckett (Nathan Filion & Stana Katic) – Castle

After 4 long years of a “will they, won’t they” dynamic  in the season 4 ending they finally did it! And it wasn’t just a one time thing, no, they’re in a relationship and they look so cute, all in love, with their “handshakes”,…

Every morning I bring you a cup of coffee, just so I can see a smile on your face. Because I think you are the most remarkable, maddening, challenging, frustrating, person I’ve ever met. And I love you Kate, and if that means anything to you, if you care about me at all, just don’t do this.

8. Robin & Barney (Cobie Smulders & Neil Patrick Harris) – How I Met Your Mother

It took them long enough to get that they were perfect for each other and then they broke up! But then, with one of the most amazing proposals in TV history, Barney proposed to Robin, leaving his womanizing days behind him!

Step 1: Admit to yourself that you still have feelings for this girl.
Step 2: Choose the completely wrong moment to make a drunken move after hanging out at a strip club… and get shot down on purpose.
Step 3: Agree that you two don’t work, locking the door on any future you could have together, which will drive Robin nuts.
Step 4: Robin goes nuts.
Step 5: Find the person who annoys Robin most in the world and ask for her help. Explain everything to Patrice and hope she agrees to help.
Step 6: Check with your doctor about possible broken ribs.
Step 7: Pretend to be dating Patrice.
Step 8:Wait until Robin inevitably breaks into your place to find The Playbook and show it to Patrice, which you’ll monitor via the hidden cameras you have in your apartment.
Step 9: After Patrice “finds” The Playbook, have your first “big fight.”
Step 10: Prove your loyalty to Patrice by burning The Playbook, and actually burn it. You don’t need it anymore.
Step 11: Because your friends have no boundaries, they’ll inevitably have an intervention for Robin, which you’ll monitor via the hidden cameras you have in Marshall and Lily’s apartment.
Step 12: Tell only Ted about your plan to propose to Patrice.
Step 13: Wait and see if Ted tells Robin. And if he does, it means your best bro in the world has let go of Robin and has given you his blessing.
Step 14: Robin arrives at her favorite spot in the city and finds the secret final page of The Playbook… the last play you’ll ever run.
Step 15: Robin realizes she’s standing underneath mistletoe.
Step 16: Hope she says yes.

9. Scotty & Kevin (Luke Macfarlane & Matthew Rhys) – Brothers & Sisters

They were so adorable together! Need say more?! (and how hot is Luke Macfarlane?!)

Kevin, I don’t love you because of how much money you make or because you can take care of me. I love you because your heart is bigger than your very annoying brain. And even if you did want to be competitive with me it wouldn’t make sense. Because you’re the reason I am who I am now.

10. Ellie Bartowski & Devon ‘Captain Awesome’ Woodcomb (Sarah Lancaster & Ryan McPartlin) – Chuck

They have the kind of relationship everyone wishes for! They’re supportive  attentive, sweet and they are both really hot! (Ryan McPartlin appears shirtless in many many episodes – thank GOD!).

Whoa. Whoa! Stop right there. You are Eleanor Bartowski-Woodcomb. PHD. MD. The brainiest, sexiest, kick-assiest woman I have ever known. You’re not just anything, Ellie. You’re Mrs. Awesome.

11. Elena & Damon (Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder) – The Vampire Diaries

She started by dating his brother, but the chemistry between Elena and Damon was always something off the charts. Now they are officially a couple – although I guess in last night episode he kind off gave up on her… They’re super cute together (the chemistry might just be because they are really together in real life). I’m a Delena fan! Stefan and Elena together are just boring…

You want a love that consumes you. You want passion and adventure, and even a little danger…  I want you to get everything you’re looking for.

12. Leonard & Penny (Johnny Galecki & Kaley Cuoco)– The Big Bang Theory

One just have to love these two! He loved, she didn’t, then she did, they tried, but she felt pressured and they broke up. Then he started dating, she realized she made a huge mistake and then they slowly get back together. How amazing is that?!

The Tangible Affection Proof

I know I propose a lot. So, how about this: I promise I will never ask you to marry me again. If someday you decide you want to get married, you have to propose to me.It’s all on you. But I gotta tell you, when the time comes, I want the whole 9 yards, I want you down on one knee, flowers, I want to be swept of my feet. And I’m cool with surprises, but nothing on the jumbo tron, I don’t want to cry in a big screen like that.

13. Daenerys Targaryen & Khal Drogo (Emilia Clarke & Jason Mamoa) – Game of Thrones

It started out as an arranged marriage with a lot of (not so consensual) sex. They didn’t even speak the same language! But she learns it in time and they grow to love each other, a lot! She’s left devastated with his death and loses their unborn child in the process.

Moon of my life.”

“My Sun and Stars.

14. Lexie & Mark (Chyler Leigh & Eric Dane) – Grey’s Anatomy

For me, the best couple ever on Grey’s and the reason I stopped watching the show after they broke them up because of Callie’s pregnancy. And then after they make the fans think that everything is going to be fine between them, BAM!!!, they go and kill Lexie and obvious, then they had to kill Mark, because it made absolutely no sense for him to live… what a shame! =(

I’ve always been in love with you. I’ll always be in love with you. Which is why you have to stay alive. We’re going to get married. You’ll be an amazing surgeon. We’ll have kids.

15. Angela & Hodgins (Michaela Conlin & T.J. Thyne) – Bones

How perfect are these 2?! When we think of Bones, we immediately think of Booth and Brennan, but I think that, as couples go, Angela and Hodgins are more right than the main twosome. They even get the most original of weddings: they get married in a jail cell!

Angela, or whatever your name is … I’m your guy.

16. Lois & Clark (Teri Hatcher & Dean Cain) – Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman

Before there was Smallville, there was L&C: The New Adventures of Superman. Super shy Clark eventually wins over the bossy and stubborn Lois, and she becomes torn between the 2 man she loves, only to come to the conclusion that they one in the same. After many obstacles, like amnesia and time travelling, they finally get married and adopt a baby in the end of the show.

Both Teri and Dean later guest-stared in Smallville: Dean as Dr. Knox and Teri as Lois mother.

Who’s asking, Clark or Superman?

Speaking of which, when were you planning on telling me? The honeymoon? Our first anniversary? When the kids started flying around the house?

17. Zoe & Wash (Gina Torres & Alan Tudyk) – Firefly

She’s the tough one in their marriage and it worked great! They were so happy… unfortunately, after the abrupt end of this great TV show, Wash gets killed in Serenity, leaving Zoe heartbroken…

I’m a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar.

18. Lorelai & Luke (Lauren Graham & Patterson) – Gilmore Girls

Who didn’t love Lorelai and Luke together? But they had a tough time, until they finally started to patch things up in the series finale.

Yeah, they were lucky. I guess if you can find that one person, you know, who’s willing to put up with all your crap, and doesn’t want to change you or dress you or you know, make you eat French food, then marriage can be all right. But that’s only if you find that person.

19. Veronica & Kevin (Shanola Hampton & Steve Howey) – Shameless

In a show full of dysfunctional relationships and crazy people, they manage to be a bit more normal than the rest, if you don’t account for all the porn they video broadcast.

I just wish you’d given me a heads up before I went with the whole whore thing. I don’t want our kids first impression of you to be that you’re a whore.

20. Emmett & Bay (Sean Berdy & Vanessa Marano) – Switched at Birth

I know they’re not together right now, but I’m still hoping! They were so great together…

I will always come find you.

My Top 15 Movie Couples

»»»»»»» 2014 Top 15 Movie Couples: 15 to 11, 10 to 6; 5 to 1 «««««««

Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, which meant that lists of great TV and movie couples popped up all day long on my Facebook page. So I decided to go with the trend and make my one of my own… this is just the movies one, because I feel you can’t really mix the 2 things…

1. Ron Weasley & Hermione Granger (Rupert Grint & Emma Watson) – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I absolutely love the Harry Potter series! And after 8 long years, 7 books, 8 movies, it finally happened! It was pretty obvious to everyone since the moment they felt awkward about hugging in HP and the Chamber of Secrets (the second year). So when it happened I was radiant, the only thing that threw me off was that in the movie they changed the situation, so i’m there in the middle of the movie theater and saying “Oh no! It doesn’t happen like this in the book!”. Although the movie kiss is pretty great, it doesn’t compare to the moment described in the book, when Hermione throws herself into Ron’s arms after he voices his concern for the house elves, in the mist of all the fight and with a very aware Harry by their side!

“Hang on a moment!” said Ron sharply. “We’ve forgotten someone!”
“Who?” asked Hermione.
“The house-elves, they’ll all be down in the kitchen, won’t they?”
“You mean we ought to get them fighting?” asked Harry.
“No,” said Ron seriously, “I mean, we should tell them to get out. We don’t want any more Dobbies, do we? We can’t order them to die for us -”
There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione’s arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione off her feet.
“Is this the moment?” Harry asked weakly, and when nothing happened except that Ron and Hermione gripped each other still more firmly and swayed on the spot, he raised his voice. “OI! There’s a war going on here!”
Ron and Hermione broke apart, their arms still around each other.
“I know mate,” said Ron, who looked as though he had recently been hit on the back of the head with a bludger, “so its now or never, isn’t it?”

2. Tom Hansen & Summer Finn (Zooey Deschanel & Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – (500) Days of Summer

If you watched this movie, you know “This is a boy meets girl story. It is not a love story.“. And indeed, it isn’t! Tom is crazy in love with Summer and thinks she’s his life, but it turns out that she doesn’t feel quite the same way… it’s heartbreaking, but it’s a great movie and they are a happy couple while they last (which is not long, for most of the time he’s in love with her and she is not!). Zooey and Joseph have this crazy chemistry between them… amazing!

This is a story of boy meets girl. The boy, Tom Hansen of Margate, New Jersey, grew up believing that he’d never truly be happy until the day he met the one. This belief stemmed from early exposure to sad British pop music and a total mis-reading of the movie ‘The Graduate’. The girl, Summer Finn of Shinnecock, Michigan, did not share this belief. Since the disintegration of her parent’s marriage she’d only love two things. The first was her long dark hair. The second was how easily she could cut it off and not feel a thing. Tom meets Summer on January 8th. He knows almost immediately she is who he has been searching for. This is a story of boy meets girl, but you should know upfront, this is not a love story.

3. Juliet & Mark (Keira Knightley & Andrew Lincoln) – Love Actually

I know I’m cheating here, because Juliet was married to Mark’s best friend, and they were never a couple. He was in love with her and she loved his best friend. Still, they have one of my all time favorite on screen moments, when he professes his love for her…

4. Elizabeth Swann & Will Turner (Keira Knightley & Orlando Bloom) – Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

Even though she always flirted with Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth’s true love was always  Will. She chooses him over her family, becomes a pirate with him, marries him and waits 10 years for him to return while guarding his heart. That’s love!

It’s always belonged to you. Will you keep it safe?

5. Tony Stark & Pepper Potts (Robert Downey Jr. & Gwyneth Paltrow) – Iron Man

How cute are they?! She starts out as his assistant and becomes the only woman he wants to change his ways for. She puts up with his crap and that’s not for anyone…

6. Gwen Stacy & Peter Parker (Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield) – The Amazing Spider-Man

Oh well, I know this one won’t last long… everyone knows that he’s meant to end up with MJ, but still, Emma and Andrew’s chemistry in this movie is crazy good (probably because, you know, it was happening in real life too… but still…)

gwen e peter - reproducao site oficial - poster

Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Mr. Parker.

Yeah, but those are the best kind.

7. Alice Cullen & Jasper Hale (Ashley Greene & Jackson Rathbone) & Edward Cullen & Bella Swan (Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart)- Twilight

When we talk about Twilight, our first thought always goes to Edward and Bella, because let’s face it, the whole story is about their love… don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Twilight saga fan, so I think they are a great couple, one of the best in fact… but I chose to mention another Twilight couple, Alice and Jasper! Although they are the couple with least PDA through the whole series (books and movies), they’re also the most perfect! Edward and Bella are very nice as well…

bella edward alice jasper

Jasper was the first one I saw – he didn’t seem to see me at all. His eyes were only for Alice. She went quickly to his side; they didn’t embrace like other couples meeting there. They only stared into each other’s faces, yet, somehow, the moment was so private that I still felt the need to look away. (New Moon, chapter 22. Flight)

8. Will & Emma (Tom Sturridge & Rachel Bilson) – Waiting for Forever

They were best friends as kids, but then she grew up and he kind of didn’t… he always loved her, waited for her, sort of stalked her, …, but things came around when after he starts living his life, as his own, Emma goes looking for him. I highly recommend this movie, it’s so beautiful and sad at the same time…

waiting for forever

I’m imagining a day when I get up, and I know that I will not see you, because you’re far away. Okay, I will not see you, no chance, will not. And now, now I’m imagining a day when I get up and I know that I might see you. Okay might, could, maybe… Of those two days, that’s the day I want, that’s the day I choose.

9. Gigi & Alex (Ginnifer Goodwin & Justin Long) – He’s Just Not That Into You

She knows nothing about men and he tries to open her eyes and they become friends, but he becomes a bit more for her… until he realizes that she’s his exception too… ohhhh!!!! This movie has some great story lines  but this one just warms my heart!

You’re my exception.

10. Charlie & Sam (Logan Lerman & Emma Watson) – The Perks of Being a Wallflower

If you haven’t seen this movie yet, shame on you! Charlie is a boy in love for the first time, with his best friend. Sam just doesn’t know what’s good for her…

I know who you are, Sam. I know I’m quiet… and, and I should speak more. But if you knew the things that were in my head most of the time, you’d know what I really meant. How, how much we’re alike and, and how we’ve been through things… and you’re not small. You’re beautiful.

11. Olive & Todd (Emma Stone & Penn Badgley) – Easy A

They know each other forever and she’s been in love with him since they were supposed to kiss in a game when they were pre-teens. After the whole school thinks she’s a slut, he never wavers, he believes in her and doesn’t care what everyone’s saying… they’re perfect! (but let me just say that the best about this movie are actually her parents!)

911160 - EASY A

I might even lose my virginity to him. I don’t know when will it happen. You know, maybe in five minutes, or tonight, or sixth months from now, or maybe on the night of our wedding. But the really amazing this is, it is nobody’s goddamn business.

12. Harry Potter & Ginny Weasley (Daniel Radcliffe & Bonnie Wright) – Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Have I said how much I love the Harry Potter series?! No?! I really really love them!!! We all saw how Ginny was smitten by Harry since the very beginning, but for him she was just Ron’s little sister, until she’s not just that! After longing for Harry for a few years, Ginny starts to date and Harry is not very fond of that! Eventually, in year 6 (HP and the Half Blood Prince) they kiss in the common room after having just won the Quidditch Cup, with all their friends (and family) around! Of course in the movie things played out differently, with the kiss happening in the Room of Requirement, with no one in sight… After the final battle is done, they resume their relationship, eventually getting married and having three children.

I never really gave up on you. Not really. I always hoped… Hermione told me to get on with life, maybe go out with some other people, relax a bit around you, because I never used to be able to talk if you were in the room, remember? And she thought you might take a bit more notice if I was a bit more — myself.

13. Dylan Harper & Jamie Rellis (Justin Timberlake & Mila Kunis) – Friends with Benefits

They start out with a casual sexual thing and end up being perfect for each other… he ends up professing his love for her through a flash mob in Grand Central Station!

I messed up. I was scared. Look at what happened with my mom and dad? Of course I was scared. I…I ruined it. Everything that happens in the day, all I can think to myself is I can’t wait to tell Jamie about this. When I see someone cursing, all I picture is you blinking. And when I hear a kid’s been cured of cancer, I pray it’s not by that douchebag tree hugging, fucking doctor who ran out on you! I mean, cancer being cured is awesome. But you know, I wish someone else did it.

14. Anna Scott & William Thacker (Julia Roberts & Hugh Grant) – Notting Hill

This is a fantasy come true. American actress falls in love with a random, simple, British guy… They had a hard time, with all the paparazzi and stuff, but they managed to pull through.

I’m also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.

15. Tyler & Ally (Robert Pattinson & Emilie de Ravin) – Remember Me

Both so messed up and flawed. But are so cute together! If you’ve seen this, you know that it doesn’t end well… Basically the whole run “prepares” Ally to deal with Tyler’s tragic death… =/ (the ending of this movie truly shocked me, I wasn’t expecting that!).

Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but it’s very important that you do it. Because nobody else will. Like when someone comes into your life and half of you says you’re nowhere near ready, but the other half says: make her yours forever.

Bonus 16: Danny & Tess (George Clooney & Julia Roberts) – Ocean’s 11 & 12

One has to admire the lengths Danny goes to get his wife back! And he gets her 😉

You’re doing recon work on our anniversary?

There are some serious kick-ass couples missing from this list, from movies like Pretty Woman, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Gone with the Wind, Titanic, …, but different movies have different effects on different persons…
