My Top 20 TV Couples: 15 to 11

After yesterday’s last 5 couples on the Top, now numbers 15 to 11 from my new Top 20 TV Couples.

15. Leonard & Penny (Johnny Galecki & Kaley Cuoco) – The Big Bang Theory

They climbed over some of my other favorite couples because they grew so much, as people and as a couple. I love them, that’s it! Even with that awkward moment this season where Penny proposed and Leonard didn’t respond…

“I know I propose a lot. So, how about this: I promise I will never ask you to marry me again. If someday you decide you want to get married, you have to propose to me.It’s all on you. But I gotta tell you, when the time comes, I want the whole 9 yards, I want you down on one knee, flowers, I want to be swept of my feet. And I’m cool with surprises, but nothing on the jumbo tron, I don’t want to cry in a big screen like that.”

14. Amy & Rory (the Ponds) (Karen Gillan & Arthur Darvill) – Doctor Who

Amy is probably the luckiest woman on Doctor Who history, why?! Because she had Rory, and this is also why they make it into my Top 20. Sure Amy loved Rory (not so obvious during their first season, but obvious enough after that), but Rory proved himself time and time again. The guy waited 2,000 years for her, that’s love, right?! Ok, she crashed a car, jumped of a building with him and let herself be touch by a weeping angel to be sent back in time to be with him, so, I guess she’s pretty cool as well! (They get bonus points for generating the amazing Melody Pond, a.k.a. River Song.)

“You know when sometimes you meet someone so beautiful — and then you actually talk to them and five minutes later they’re as dull as a brick; but then there’s other people. And you meet them and you think, “Not bad, they’re okay,” and when you get to know them … their face just, sort of, becomes them, like their personality’s written all over it, and they just — they turn into something so beautiful. Rory’s the most beautiful man I’ve ever met.”

13. Chuck & Sarah (Zachary Levi & Yvonne Strahovski) – Chuck

After all these years, Sarah and Chuck still warm my heart (maybe because I like Zachary Levi so much…). They were supposed to be in a fake relationship, but he fell for her, so hard! And it’s the geek and the beauty… and then she fell for him as well! They eventually started to date, got married and set up their own business… but in a twist that had me crying the whole episode, she lost every memory she had of him =( !!! But they ended up together (even if he remembered everything and she didn’t…).

“I love Chuck Bartowski and I don’t know what to do about it.”

12. Richard Castle & Kate Beckett (Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic) – Castle

They got engaged! They did and it’s been wonderful! Caskett is still kicking some serious ass, even if they are now “babe”ing each other. They have set the date (ish… around Spring), she has a dress (hideous, by the way) and they can’t wait to get married :)!

11. Rose & The Doctor (Billie Pipper & David Tennant) – Doctor Who

Whether you ship them or not, their story is one of the saddest in modern Who history. They fell for each other, run the Universe together, only to be thrown away from one another because throughout it all, they were so happy that they didn’t think of the consequences of their actions. Rose was suddenly in another Universe altogether. She did not remain still though, she managed to get back to him, only to get separated again. I guess if you look at it, it’s not that sad for her; she did get “her guy”, she got the Doctor, the human Doctor (not really him, though, right?). And he got to watch them make out while closing the door on that Universe forever.
