I love these days. It’s raining outside, I woke up super late and decided to do absolutely nothing! Having watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier on Friday, and resolving that I should go and watch it again soon, I decided to re-watch Captain America: The First Avenger, because it’s amazing the things you miss the first couple of times you see a Marvel movie, today was the first time I noticed Stan Lee’s cameo in this movie. So now, I’ll go ahead and watch The Avengers, IronMan 3 and Thor: The Dark World. It’s a MARVELous day!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, trailer is out (and it’s not good!)

I’m not one of those persons who actively seeks out movie trailers. I love movies and going to the cinema is one of my favourite things, if it’s a superhero or fantasy movie of some sorts, better yet! Just so you have some idea, I love all things X-MEN, and today was the first time I set my eyes on any trailer of the movie, because I was in the movie theater (Captain America rules!).

So this morning, I was having breakfast at 6 a.m. and the news about the TMNT trailer popped up on my feed, curiosity overtook me and I caved in and watched it… huge mistake!

First of all, Mr Michael Bay, you do know this is not the Transformers, right?! Because I could swear I heard that sound when the helicopter appears in some other movies before… the Transformers!

Second, what’s up with the Turtles? Are they on steroids? They just look plain creepy… the ones we see actually, because we only see Leonardo and Michelangelo, right?

And I’m sorry, what the hell is the movie about? I watched the cartoons for years, me and my cousins spent all our vacations, every single year of our childhood watching this animated series… and then the live action, so the image that I have of these beloved turtles is nothing like the one the movie shows.

Third, Megan Fox is not April… no, no and no! I think there were so many great options for this character…

In a year filled with superheroes and fantasy movies, I dare say this one won’t stand a chance…

Happy Birthday Doctor Who (2005)!

It’s 9 years today that Rose first aired! It marked the return of the cult series, Doctor Who, after being absent from TV for around 16 years (not counting the TV movie). Rose introduced Christopher Eccleston as the 9th Doctor and Billie Piper as Rose Tyler, the Doctor’s new companion.

Congratulations to Christopher and Billie, that made the first series such a success that 9 years later we’re all still anxiously awaiting the next episode. Congratulations to Russell T Davies and Julie Gardner for pushing for the series return and making it such a fantastic show!

And if you never saw Rose, well… you should!

Psych is out!

It’s today, people! The last episode of Psych!!!

My Tiny Obsessions

So so sad about this news! USA network announced today that the show it’s airing its 8th and final season, with the last 5 episodes airing from February 26th on.

I’m still reacting like Dule, still not sure that this is actually happening! =(

I’m glad, though, that they will go out on top, still, I wish it was at least a full season order for this sad goodbye. It will always be one of the best comedies on TV!

HIMYM “The End of the Aisle”

Around this time next week, we will all have said goodbye to the wonderful series How I Met Your Mother… yep, just 60 minutes to go 😦 !!!

This week, however, we finally walked down the aisle with Robin and Barney. In The End of the Aisle, both of them suffer a bit of a meltdown, but Robin’s is considerably larger than Barney’s.

While the groom is worried he won’t write the perfect vows for the love of his life, Robin is actually considering that she’s making a mistake and wondering if she should actually be marrying Ted instead! Ted tells her no, that he doesn’t lover her like that anymore, and neither does she, because she loves Barney and love doesn’t have to make sense and stuff. But she’s having none of that: he won’t run away with her, she’ll just run away on her own! Robin plans to leave the wedding but runs into the Mother, after they get to second base, the Mother tells her that she doesn’t know her well enough to talk her out of this crazy decision, but she thinks that 3 beep breaths might help her make the right call… on the second one though, Barney is there! Barney tells her that he’ll only make one vow to her, because it’s the only one that matters: he won’t lie to her again, because he loves her!

Love is totally nonsensical, but we have to keep doing it. Or else we’re lost and-and love is dead. And humanity should just pack it in. Because love is the best thing we do.

Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily exchange their second set of vows, and Marshall tells his wife that he plans on keeping renewing them, because just once isn’t enough to encompass a whole lifetime with her, because he’ll love her more and more as time goes by…

At the church, Barney has one last tiny meltdown about the colour of his tie and Marshall (doing a great job as a best man), slaps the hell out of the groom and ending the slapbet’ slaps!

So the episode ends with Robin walking down the aisle at the sound of Sandcastles in the Sand, and both of them exchanging vows and getting hitched!

Oh… and there was actually a Ring Bear!

Note: I loved that Barney did not actually freak out about marrying Robin… but I hated that Robin freak out had to do with TED!! Como on people, it took the guy 9 years to realize that it wouldn’t happen, and then she wants to run away with him?! Come on! I thought we were all over the Barney + lies things… she has accepted it before, why make a fuss of it again?
