Well, this sucks! After yesterday’s announcement that ABC had renewed Mistresses for a third season, Alyssa Milano (Savi) has announced that she will not be returning to the show.

She then proceeded to explain why on her website:
After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of Mistresses in Vancouver, Canada for financial reasons. It’s with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can’t relocate. I have two babies under 4. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away.
I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best.
I don’t know if the show can survive without her, I’ll be honest, she’s the main reason I watch it (and started watching it in the first place).

But I actually do understand her reasons and I think it’s good that she has her priorities straight. Nonetheless, I really can’t see much of a future for the show without her.
totally agree. Not that I don’t like them all (actually, I don’t like Joss all that much), but it was all centered on Savi. This will probably mean that Jason George (Dom) won’t came back as well, because it just wouldn’t make any sense… I totally get her reasons, I respect the hell out of her!
Yeah, I dont necessarily dislike the others, but Savi was my favourite! Zach won’t come back either I guess.
guess not… i don’t know how they can possibly turn this around…
