Let me tell you, I really liked the first episode of iZombie, but this one threw it out of the park…
This episode is all about Liv having something more to live for and appreciating life a bit more. Due to the corpse of the week, a famous painter with a passion for live, Liv gains some of his way of living, which means she sees beauty in everything and everyone – so much so that she starts hitting on everything that moves…
This eventually leads her to make a move on Major, you know, the ex-fiance she broke up with and that has been pining for her for 6 months, but him, feeling hurt and confused, shuts her down. Well done sir!
The other side of this episode was Liv finally meeting the other zombie, Blaine (David Anders), or him meeting her. He talks a good talk, saying how he’s changed and how sorry he is for turning her and so on, but Liv is not buying it (good reason she has too). Turns out Blaine sees an opportunity for business in the whole zombie thing and willingly turns somebody else, promising to supply her with fresh brain if she pays up.
It was a fantastic episode Liv (Rose McIver) and Blaine (David Ander) have an amazing chemistry and I can’t wait to see their banter on future episodes. Ravi (Rahul Kohli) is great and he needs to get out of the morgue more and interact with people… he’s hilarious while interacting with people.
I’m still in love with this show! But there are some strange ship-names going on. I adore Ravioli for Ravi and Olivia, but Livjor and Bliv … that just isn’t so cool. We need to come up with better stuff hahaha (also there seems to exist Cliv and Livton)
Wow, except for Ravioli, those do not work… but maybe it’s because I’m not shipping her with anybody yet 😀 . Sure, there were some sparks with Blaine, but I hope they never go there…
I think Ravioli isn’t a romantic ship but more of a friendship ship, so I’m totally down with it. As for the others, I kind of ship her with everyone. Also, I wouldn’t say never when it comes to Blaine and Liv. Most of the time I find the dangerous romantic interest far more interesting than the perfect fiancé (no matter how how Buckley is). But I haven’t settled for anything yet, I mean we are two episodes in and hopefully have a long season (or seasons) ahead of us 🙂 I ship the show!
agreed! Incredible how The CW became the most consistent network this season
I’m surprised myself. But then again, I feel like I am really the target audience for them. My male friends don’t appreciate these shows as much as I do, although I really think that the 100 works with a male audience as well.
Have you checked out Finding Carter and Eye Candy though? I never thought that I’d purposely seek out MTV shows, but they were both really good. Maybe a bit of stiff acting sometimes, but all in all I loved those shows too and that surprised me too.
Not yet, maybe I’ll check them out over the summer, when I have some more time. But in terms of The CW, is just not the audience, but the critics opinions as well
True that!
And another question: Are you going to watch the Messengers? I’m kind of intrigued about the whole angels of the apocalypse thing.
I will, and only for one reason: The actor that appears naked or whatever (you know, the guy who played Jesus in The Bible), is Portuguese, and I have known him in my tv screen since forever. So, I’ll have to check it out! 😀 I’m not convinced at all by the trailers though
I want to watch it because I really liked JD Pardo in Revolution and one of the women in One Tree Hill. I like angel stuff I think.
we’ll see how it goes… when does it start?!
It starts April 17 as far as I know
I hope it’s good 🙂
Me too!
