The Mortal Instruments: City of Heavenly Fire (Cassandra Clare)

>>>>>>>  Nº 1 on My 2015 Reading Challenge   –   A book with more than 500 pages  <<<<<<<

It was seriously hard for me to finish this book. Ten books in Cassandra Clare’s world of shadowhunters, warlocks, fairies, werewolves and demons, it was hard saying goodbye to Clary and Jace, Magnus and Alec, Izzy and Simon, even though I know they will be back in future stories, it will not be all about them any more… I was sad!

I thought the book did a great job kind wrapping stuff up, though I cried more than I should have had when Rafael died. I cried a whole lot more when Simon sacrificed his memories to save everyone and forgot everyone that mattered in the process… poor Clary and poor Isabelle.

I loved the “sexy times”, about time for Clary and Jace, but what’s up with Herondales and caves?! You know there are a lot of places way more romantic that a cave in a demon realm, right?

I was not the biggest fan of Isabelle before the last few books, but I loved her so much in this one, I wanted more of her POV’s and I’m really fond of her relationship with Simon, because he brings out things in her that no one else can.

Magnus and Alec, oh my, I just LOVE Alec, poor baby Alec… I was so happy when he finally found Magnus (although Magnus was almost dying and stuff…).

I loved this series, LOVE this world, and I can’t wait for the next series to come out.
