For many of us who saw the movie (and I watched it before I read the book), the idea of Hodge is a middle age man. In the book however, despite being a bit run down, Hodge is described as the youngest in the circle, so, younger than Luke, Valentine and Jocelyn.
So yesterday, when ABC Family announced that Jon Cor was going to play Hodge Starkweather in Shadowhunters, I was overjoyed!
Yes people, Hodge is hot! And YOUNG!!! So, he’s a bit younger than in the book, but it’s all a question of makeup, because the weight of his “condition” should come from the inside.
I mean…
OMG I love Jon Cor. I remember him especially from Being Human and he was a great villain there. So yay!
I never saw him on anything, but he definitely has a mischief vibe about him.
He’s pretty awesome, although he hasn’t been in much that’s widely known.
I’m just so excited that they didn’t go for the old type of guy…
I seriously couldn’t remember the book-version of Hodge
so, I don’t really have a particular feeling about his age.
Cassandra Clare said yesterday on twitter that he’s supposed to be around 36, because he’s younger than the others. I was really pissed that in the movie he looked like he could be Valentine’s father, when it says clearly in the book that he was younger and Valentine was like his role model or something
Ah alright, I swear I can’t remember a thing about that. I mean Jon Cor doesn’t look like 36 though. I’m cool with that, but he looks way younger.
I guess it will depend on how they dress him, hair, makeup. I’m very Cool with it 🙂
That’s probably true.
now I’m curious about who’s playing Rafael, Technically they were casting him this week too.
Well so far I didn’t know who to expect for any role hahaha
lol 😉
Just read that Tommy from Arrow is joining Chicago med
That would be amazing’! I liked him and we need more handsome guys on Chicago Med other than Jay’s brother.
I still haven’t reached the CHicago Med episode, I’m like on ep 16 of each series, but I really liked Tommy and it’s always fun to have familiar faces on new shows
