The Harry Potter 30 Days Challenge #9

Welcome back for the 9th day of The Harry Potter 30 Days Challenge. As you know by now, Leannaatc @Short Story Long had this idea of a month full of Harry Potter and you can find the prompt for each day here here.

– Day 9: Who’s your least favourite male character and why? – 

This is possible the easiest day for me… as soon as I saw this question, my mind mind jumped automatically to one person. Yeah, there are a lot of despicable male characters in these books, Voldemort, Lucius Malfoy, Fenrir Greyback, …, but the worst of all (at least for me)? PETER PETTIGREW.

All those other guys were bad or weak, but it was the way they knew, basically.

But Peter knew differently, he had friends, loving people who, sure, could be jerk at times, but loved him nonetheless, and he made a conscious choice to betray them. And after that, he had the nerves of staying for years on end with the Weasleys and being close to Harry, even knowing that he was the cause of his misery.

And then, only after he could no longer stay hidden, did he seek out to find Voldemort, because he knew it was his only chance of survival.

Peter Pettigrew totally disgusts me, he’s easily the worst male character within the entire series.
