Book Traveling Thursdays: Fall is finally here!

fall

Hello, welcome back to Book Traveling 168709Thursdays, which a weekly meme created by Cátia @The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to share the covers of a book related to that week’s theme, which you can see at the Goodreads group, indicating the original cover, the one of your country, your favorite and least favorite.

This week’s theme is “Fall is finally here! Choose a book that brings you nostalgic ‘fall feelings’“. Fall feelings?! Oh Man! I can’t think of any… the closest thing that comes to me is Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell… it starts in August, and part of the action is during the fall. But I read it in the spring. But I have a fall feeling about it… maybe(?!). I’m going with it!

Original & Favorite cOver:

I love love love this cover! This is the original US cover and it’s just gorgeous! I own the yellow one, which is also nice, but not as nice as this one.

COVER FROM MY COUNTRY (PORTUGAL) & COVER FROM THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN (SPAIN):

Both covers from Portugal and Spain are very close to the original one, the only difference being the placing of the name and the raving from John Green. Wait, did you noticed it? Portugal has a cover for this book! This is the only Rainbow Rowell book that exists in Portuguese.

LEAST FAVORITE COVER(s):

The first British edition is so bad. I usually don’t mind these covers, but the drawings here have nothing to do with the characters and story. Then the Indonesian cover is pretty bad, I mean, what is that? Other pretty bad one is the one from Italy, because once again, it has nothing to do with the story. And finally the one from Latvia, the cover is not that bad, but the drawing is all wrong and why did they translate Rainbow’s name?

Hello people! I’m doing my second challenge for the Tackle your TBR Read-a-thon! Today’s challenge is hosted by Jess @Princessica of Books and it’s an ultimate bookish scavenger hunt.

I’ll give you a set of categories and you scavenge your bookshelves finding books that fit into those categories! Pretty simple and super fun 🙂.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard and More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera were two amazing debuts this year.

I’ve read the Twilight series and the Harry Potter series at least twice… 😉

I couldn’t really talk about gorgeous covers without including Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi, which is probably the most beautiful cover I own. Other covers that I love are My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga and The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.

A Book You Always Recommend!

Why haven’t you read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell or Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli? GO read them right NOW! This two books are amazing, and I’m always half-tempted to pick any of them up and re-read them…

Something on Your Bookshelf That is Not a Book!

A Book That Has A Kick- Ass Butt Female Protagonist!

The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas has the amazing Celaena (though I like her new name better… my “Fire-breathing bitch-queen”). Then in The Wrath and The Dawn by Renée Ahdieh there’s the amazing Shazi. And Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is pretty amazing as well.
