Another month bites the dust! And in September I managed (by some miracle I might add) to finish my proposed TBR. So, here are the books I read (the titles will take you to my review of the book):
1. Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi
2. Fracture Me by Tahereh Mafi
3. Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
4. The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas
5. Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
6. An Infinite Number Of Parallel Universes by Randy Ribay
7. Finding Perfect by Kendra C. Highley
8. Finding Cinderella (novella) by Colleen Hoover
All in all, not a bad month, considering that it took me over a week to finish Queen of Shadows, which I only did last night at 2 a.m., and that Ignite Me gave me the biggest book hangover of my life.
Queen of Shadows was also one of the most fun reads I ever had, and that’s thanks to the Buddy Read and the ongoing conversation on twitter with Josie, Erika and Anjie about the book – which given that we are on 3 different time zones, meant that I sometimes woke up to +60 notifications on my twitter… all worth it 😉 – I’ll read any book with you ladies, anytime, because this was fun as hell (even if the book had me crying for a huge chunk of it!).
Also, I ended up reading Finding Cinderella by Colleen Hoover because Dee @The Bookish Khaleesi wrote about it yesterday and it sounded so interesting that a few hours later it was on my kindle.
I also had slightly less time to post this month, and I ended up with a good number of 65 posts in the month of September… not bad!
Tomorrow I’ll post about my October TBR 😉 .
What a great month!! Loved the Shatter Me series too ❤️
😀 I’m still a bit hungover from Ignite me, though it’s easier now because the book is no longer with me
I was in the biggest hangover because of Ignite Me!!! I’ve been thinking about reading the series over just so I can read Ignite Me again hehehe (;
i can so relate to that. I read ignite me pretty fast and then I just wanted to handle the book, open it, read it, all the freaking time… i was so hooked in the world and their relationship
Warner and Juliette were so amazing together! I still can’t get enough Warner! That reminds of of Queen of Shadows though haha I would randomly just hold the book to and carry around wherever I went because I wasn’t ready to put it down yet! (;
I won’t even talk about QoS, I finished yesterday night and I already went to it and opened it to some Rowaelin scenes because I miss them already
Awww Rowaelin are soooo adorable. I loved their flirting! I miss them too!
the flirting was epic. I mean, the poor guy has to throw a pitcher of water on himself to cool down… 😉
Hahaha it was definitely INTENSE! I loved seeing their feelings develop and can’t wait to see more (:
me too. I hope no one comes between them… and to complete the happiness, I wish that Aedion and Lysandra got together on the next book ❤
Oh my gosh I ship them too!! I couldn’t stop laughing when Lysandra had shapeshifted and kept playing with Aedion as they were traveling back to Terrasen 😆
YYESSSS!!! And when they saw Rowan and Aelin kissing, and she said she wanted what they had… the look she gave him *sigh* – I ship them, HARD!
You had a great reading month =). I need to read Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows and Finding Cinderella
You do :p but u have time, one year until the next one is out. I need to read the novels that go with finding Cinderella…
That’s one of the reasons why I haven’t read it yet 🙂 . You need to read Hopeless and Finding Hope. They are both amazing novels
Losing Hope not Finding… It looks like someone needs to go to sleep =P
😛 I need to, i know, I’m curious about the whole Holder/sky story
65 posts is a lot! I can’t believe how fast this month went!
it did, super fast… 😦
Congrats on completing your TBR! Somehow I never manage to read all titles I pick during the first days of each month haha. Maybe next time! 😉
i think it’s the first time i did it too 😉
Ooh, great job on catching up on series! I have seen Queen of Shadows or a ToG book everywhere…
thanks 😉 it’s an amazing series
Omg wasn’t QOS a monster!! It took me a couple of days to get through as well but I loved ever second of it!! I already have plans to by Shatter Me first thing this month! I can’t wait to start the series!! Looks like you had a great month 🙂
QoS was such a rollercoaster of emotions, and so so good. I have no idea how I’m gonna wait a whole year for the next book… I want it NOW!
Yes, do read Shatter Me 😀 😀 😀
How did you like the rest of the Shatter Me series? I thought the books just kept getting better and better. Are you going to do a review on Queen of Shadows? I might not read it since I haven’t read the book but I would love to know your rating. I know it’s been super all over the place since it came out
oh, the rest of the shatter me trilogy was freaking amazing, I loved it!
i will review QoS, though to be honest I have no idea where to start… my rating I can tell you now though: 5/5 Stars. I know a lot of people had problems with the book, and I will address that, but i didn’t. I totally understood each choice that Sarah J. Maas did 😉
That honestly makes me feel so relieved. I’m really scared of actually reading it now cause I feel like I’ll hate it for some random reason and that would suck 😦
i guess it will depend on how you view Celaena and her relationships…
you’ll have to read it to make up your mind. 😉
Have you read until Heir of Fire?
Yeah, I read the first three books in January. All of them were 5/5 for me. I’m scareddd! haha
Who do you ship?
Chaol and Celaena…..
I say read it, because the book is truly great, but you might not be happy about some stuff for a while… It gets better though
Alright, I’ll trust you. I’m still gonna take some time before I read it, let the hype die down, but I’ll go in with a hopeful heart haha
Not too hopeful, OK? Moderate…
Damn….it’s gonna break my heart isn’t it?
wasn’t it broken by the end of Heir of Fire? if not… yeah, probably… but it gets slightly better 🙂
Yes haha I guess I’ll have a few months to prepare myself for the torture.
oh, don’t think of it as torture… not really! everything will sort itself out. there’s still 2 more books ahead…
We’ll see what happens then haha hopefully things will be nice at the end
yep, nice 😉
It’s like there’s a colour scheme with your read books! They look awesome with their shades of blue and green.
i hadn’t even noticed that!
Lol
well, i think most of the books I own have some blue in them… 🙂 (and I do try to go for pretty covers)
I wholeheartedly support that! I do the same!
😀 I know! That’s the only reason why I bought the second cover for Landline… the book is not even in my favorite list, but it was pink and pretty and it was the same size as the other 3, so I just had to!
My Rowell books are all different sizes lol but I actually prefer the other Landline cover
the grey one? i like the texture of that one, a lot, but of all of them my favorite is the blue one, but I never saw it
Yeah, the grey one is the one that I like 🙂
hmmm, do you want mine?
I couldn’t take yours! What if you change your mind?
But how would I compensate you?
LOL, are you kidding? don’t be silly, I have two books, one of which I don’t need, and you want a copy of it 😉 (and you’ll let me read your story when it’s done :p)
But you paid for both books and sending it will cost something too. And of course you will get to read my book! If it ever gets printed, you’ll get a hardcover copy for free!!!
LOL. Consider it a late birthday and an early christmas present then 😉
YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
it will take a while to get there 😛 send me your address when u can 😉
Doesn’t matter and will do! 🙂
Holy crap that’s so cool! I feel compelled to complete my Goodreads challenge now too! I’m four books ahead of schedule, thank goodness!
And you read some wonderful books this month! Especially QoS, gosh that was the most fun read along ever! I totally don’t regret waking up to all those Twitter notifications 😉
me neither! It was super fun 😀
65 posts in a month! That’s really amazing! I’m glad you had a great reading month. I need to read Finding Cinderella soon. 😀
thanks 😀 (it was less than in August though 😉 )
I was pleasantly surprised by Finding Cinderella 🙂
I’m not a fan of Coho but I really like her books. 😀
LOL, isn’t that a bit contradictory?
haha! I know, but I have only read two books from CoHo and I still need to read more books from her. 😀
oh, that I get. I only read the one novella. I’ll give that series a try and go from there
Slammed and Ugly love are the two books I’ve read from the author. I really liked both books but I totally hated the characters in Ugly love. I’m planning to read Hopeless this month. I hope I like it too! 😀
😀 I’ll probably read it next month. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it 😉
😉
Looks like you had a successful reading month 😉
I did 😀 and Queen of Shadows was a monster of a book 😀
Haha yes definitely!
