The Rose & The Dagger: Cover Reveal

coverreveal

Today the cover for The Rose & The Dagger, the sequel to The Wrath & The Dawn by Renée Ahdieh, was revealed (you can find the original article here). The book is set to come out May 3rd, 2016, and I honestly can’t wait. The ending of the first one left me completely heartbroken and I need the sequel… now!

What do you guys think? When I first saw it, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the blue, but now it has grown on me and I think the cover is gorgeous, just like the first one 😀 .

Oh, it’s a bit too bright :S Still, a very mysterious and beautiful cover to what I know will be a beautiful book!

my first reaction was that as well, then I read that it’s supposed to symbolise the fact that she survived the dawn while all his other wives didn’t or whatever, and it grew on me a bit 🙂

I bet that live that blue isn’t as shiny

I like the design, but the blue seems a little tacky. Something a little more on the sapphire blue side was what I had envisioned. Idk, I guess I’ll know when I see the actual copy. Can’t wait for it, though! Loved the first one. x

mmm…. I think perhaps a more subdued or darker purply-blue would have been better…. but perhaps it will look nicer in person? I do like it though,

The moment I saw it I thought it was absolutely beautiful! I love the contrast between the blue and the gold/copper coming through the holes! And I love the dagger shapes added into the cover. And Shazi looks mighty fine and ultimately kick butt!!! Eep!

Thanks so much for sharing this! I had no idea. 😀 When i first saw it, I agree, the blue does seem a bit much and doesn’t exactly fit in, but I think I’ll get used to it soon enough. Can’t wait for this book!! ❤
