Hello, hello. It took me a couple of days to organize what it is that I’m attacking this month, but I got it now. 😀 The main goal this month in terms of reading will be keep up with my ARCs for this month, and finish the 2 series that I’m in the middle of: The Lunar Chronicles and Penryn & the End of Days.
I’ll warn you before hand, this is a very ambitious TBR.
1. The Last One by Tawdra Kandle – This book is already out – when I was approved for it, it was already passed its publication date. Because of that I want to get to it, but it won’t be my priority.
2. Nirvana by J.R. Stewart – oh man, I’m so scared of picking up this book. This was an auto-approval from netgalley – I didn’t request it – and I do have the revised version, but still, the synopsis doesn’t make me want to jump into it.
3. Something in the Air by Marie Landry – This seems like a fun and easy read, and I’ll read it soon because it comes out in 9 days.
4. Right Where You Are by L.E. Bross – I actually finished this one of at 3 a.m. the night before last (that’s why it isn’t on my October wrap-up). Expect a review this week, and I really liked it – so so so HOT!
5. Crystallum by Laney McMann – This book comes out at the end of November and I’m intrigued by it.
6. Did I Mention I Love You? by Estelle Maskame – I’m really excited for this one. I hope I have time for it, given that publication date is December 1st.
7. World After by Susan Ee – I actually already started this book, after reading (and loving) Angelfall, I just had to keep going with this series as soon as possible. I’m about 20% in, and I need Raffe… 20% of the book without him is too much (and I’m sure Penryn agrees with me).
8. End of Days by Susan Ee – Read the above.
9. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer – I read Cinder last month, and I was supposed to read Scarlet too, but somehow I just wasn’t in the mood. But with the last installment of this series coming out this month, I really want to get to it minimally spoiled.
10. Cress by Marissa Meyer – Same as above.
11. Carry On by Rainbow Rowell – I got my hands on this book very very recently and with all the raving reviews coming out, I have to get to it soon. I honestly don’t know if it will happen this month, because let’s face it, this is a huge TBR, but I really want to at least start it…
Ufff, I know this is a HUGE TBR, but I really need to get through most of these 😀 . At the very least I want to read all my ARCs and World After and End of Days, even if I have to leave The Lunar Chronicles for next month, but I’m hoping that that won’t be necessary…
My thoughts were exactly like yours when I was reading World After. I was like “So where’s Raffe?”. It was painful.
OMG, I need him back! And she wants him back too, that much is clear 😉
That really IS a huge TBR, but the books seem all really interesting, so maybe you’ll just fly through it all. 🙂 Good luck either way!
I just wanna get through all my eARCs (need to up that number). Oh, and I need to finish Penryn & the end of days trilogy, everything else is OK, if I don’t do it this month, I have December 😉
Sounds like a good plan! My NetGalley rating is still okay, but I want to finish the eArcs I have too, simply because I am afraid I am going to forget about them hahaha also, I want to write about them close to their release.
🙂 your rating has to be super high right now, you’re keeping a good track of your books.
Mine is at 40% (I have so many books behind…)
Right now it’s at 67%, so it’s pretty good 🙂
that’s amazing 😀
what I need to do is go a month or so without making any requests, to see if i can pull it up
Hahaha why are you requesting so much? I’m only requesting books when I have one book left to read.
lol, I don’t know, I go on sprees… sometimes I go weeks without requesting any, and then I go look through the new additions, and request all those I want… it’s a problem 😦
Hahaha yeah, I can see how that could get problematic.
also, i always expect that half of my requests will be denied…
Why would you think that? Your blog has great stats, it would make sense for them to approve you 🙂
lol, beats me, i’ve been approved for several books from one editor, and then one book they didn’t approve me for. lol. it happens a lot. my rating is low 😀
For instance, the book you’re reading now, I requested it a few weeks ago and was not approved 😛
it happens (and it’s a good thing, otherwise I would be drowning in books)
Okay, can I just say that I have no idea how the requesting/approving really works?
I requested How to be Brave and got approved that same day. And Marie from Drizzle and Hurricane Books told me she didn’t get approved for This Song is (Not) For You, which we both got approved for. I don’t really know what criteria they are looking for!
I sometimes request books that are marked only for US/UK/CAN though and I understand if I get declined for those.
yes, those I understand as well, though I try just the same in the hopes of getting through the cracks.
I have no idea how it works either :S I know it has little to do with stats, and some publishers don’t care about the rating either…
maybe the reasons we say we are interested in the books have something to do with it?
Possible. I mostly click on cover and description. So far I haven’t really known any of the authors though. Sometimes I click the one about having heard a lot about it.
same… for instance, the last book I read from there, didn’t even have a description! lol – i don’t know, it’s a bit by chance, I think =/
It’s weird, but as long as it’s working in my favour, I am not going to complain hahaha
Same 😀 in the first weeks I was obsessed updating stats and numbers and stuff, now not so much. I want netgalley mostly for YA and NA romances and I’m getting enough of those, so I’m happy 😀
Same for me. I update it some of the time, but not that often.
😉
Great list- I’ve really been enjoying the Lunar Chronicles too. And I’m desperate to get my hands on Carry On.
i really liked Cinder 🙂 but it coincided with a time when I was in the mood for NY/YA romances, so I didn’t keep on right away, but I don’t want to be spoiled for Winter… 😉
Yeah, I read them a while ago now, and have been anxiously anticipating Winter ever since- can’t wait for that to come out!
8 more days, right?
I know- so excited!!
Trust and believe, I am on the same page as you with a miles-long tbr this month! I have a billion ARCs to get through for upcoming blog tours and then SIX books from the library that I’m going to gradually work through in between all of the blog tour prep. We will weather the struggle together!
😀 yes we will 😀 good luck for you
I’ve seen Did I Mention I Love You around the blogosphere quite a bit recently and it definitely looks like an interesting read. Not sure about the potential love triangle/ cheating that might happen though…
Eep! The Lunar Chronicles is one of my favourite series and I’m so happy that you’re continuing with Scarlet and Cress! I absolutely cannot wait for Winter’s release!
is there love triangle/chatting? i think it’s more of a forbidden love kind of thing… but i’ll tell you more once I read it.
Yes, I’m continuing with the Lunar Chronicles, though I’m not in a hurry, I want to assimilate them well 🙂
Hopefully it’s just forbidden love and the girlfriend doesn’t come in between them too much. But once I see the word ‘girlfriend’ I’m kind of wary of cheating….
my guess is that the girlfriend will be out of the picture before anything happens, otherwise the drama is a bit much. but I’ll know more once I get to it.
I hope there’s no cheating though… =/
Hope it’s good and that you enjoy it!
hope so too
Wow! This is a huge TBR. I think I’m the only one that doesn’t do a TBR XD
i didn’t before either, but it helps me now to organize, especially in terms of ARCs and their release dates
It’s probably smarter to be organized and have a goal instead of just reading randomly
not really, i like doing it randomly, but then I sometimes forgot about the ARCs and they have dates =/
Ohh! What are ARCs again? I’m sorry, I’m sure you’ve explained this countless times.
that’s ok, ARCs are Advance Reader’s copies. Before the book is published, ARCs are given to be reviewed 🙂
Ohh! That’s really cool 🙂
I have Carry On on my November TBR as well! And I loved every book of The Lunar Chronicles so far and the whole Penryn & The End Of Days series as well. 😀
😀 I can’t wait to get to all of them 😀
I love the Penryn & and the End of Days trilogy!! I’m glad you’re loving it as well! I just read The Lunar Chronicles in the last couple of month and LOVED them! I’m so excited for Winter! Have fun with all your books, I’m sure you’ll be able to read them all! 🙂
eheh, I’m more than halfway through World After (and still no Raffe – I’m getting angry!) – but I’m really liking it 😀
I was so eager for Raffe to hurry up and come back into the story!
i’m 60% done and he’s still not with her, what’s up with that?! I mean, sure, we get to read a lot about him, and we even see him fight Beliel from afar, but I want the two of them together NOW! I’m getting very restless, I want to just keep reading it because I so desperately want him to show up. – damn work!
Haha trust me he comes back eventually! But yeah I remember that pain!
eventually? oh man, I was kind of hoping for a “don’t fret, he’ll be there in the next page or two” 😛
Wow! Great TBR! They are all great books and I really hope you enjoy reading them. Happy Reading! 😀
thank you 😀
Since I didn’t get to read that much and because I have plans to go to Yallfest this year I have a pretty ambitious TBR for this month, too. Happy reading, Cristina!
you too Summer. Are you posting your TBR? what are you reading now?
I’ve never been able to actually follow a certain TBR. I’m a mood reader but my mood changes quite often. 😛 I’m currently reading The Anatomical Shape of the Heart, A Monster Calls, Wolf by Wolf, but after that I’ll probably pick up The Wrath and the Dawn. 🙂
i loved the wrath and the dawn :D, I haven’t read the others yet 🙂
Scarlet and Cress are so good (especially Cress <3) so I hope you'll enjoy them! AND OH MY GOD CARRY ON IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE BOOKS THIS YEAR IT WAS SO GOOD I HOPE YOU'LL LOVE IT TOO
