Instead of music, I thought I would share some movies that were constantly on TV when I was little. I’ll do a bunch of these, because they are so many damn movies that were a part of my childhood, eheh. By the way, this was prompted by the fact that my nephews had no idea what I was talking about when I mention some of these movies.
The Blue Lagoon (1980)
OMG, this trailer makes me feel so old!!! There were a lot of Blue Lagoons, but this one is the original 😉 .
Dirty Dancing (1987)
This one is epic, I think everyone knows about Dirty Dancing, right?
3 Men and a Baby (1987)
I want to rewatch this movie, I remember loving it each time it was on TV on Sundays…
This movie is a classic! Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito together are epic.
Look Who’s Talking (1989)
I loved this movies. Who remembers this one?
Guys, I have to tell you, trailers sucked back in the 80’s! LOL! This movies were a constant presence in my TV while I was growing up in the 90’s – back then Hollywood wasn’t as prolific as it is nowadays.

I’ve watched all these movies a lot of times, it was always on tv. In the last couple of months I could have watched Blue Lagoon 2 a few times. For some reason it’s always on Canal Holywood. But I still like the first one better. Also, I love everything about Dirty Dancing, especially the soundtrack and Patrick Swayze XD
😀 our tv wasn’t very vast when we were kids :D. I like Blue Lagoon 2 too, the quality is way superior to the first one =). And Dirty Dancing is still amazing!
It still isn’t very vast if we’re talking about the 4 main channels. They barelly have any movies now and when they have they keep repeating them. It’s still way better than any sunday afternoon show that they have right now
oh, I have such fond memories of our TV on sunday afternoons… =/
Oh, Look Who’s Talking was one of my favorites!!! Such fun times…
I loved this movie, I haven’t watched it in ages 😀
Omg Dirty Dancing. I was OBSESSED with that movie. I watched it constantly when I was a kid.
Me too 😀
Look Who’s Taking, was a favorite growing up! 🙂
😀 right? 😉
Dirty dancing is my fav!!!
I… have never seen any of these. >.> I mean, I’ve heard of them a bunch of times, and people say they’re amazing, but I’m definitely not in this generation… *sigh* I feel so left out! :p
oh, it means you’re probably too young 😛 that’s not a bad thing
Haha! I’m generally quite informed on items from the 80s from my older brother, but these weren’t exactly his style of movies…
Even so, I love this series! It’s fun remembering all the good shows, movies, music. ^.^
It is 😀 television is Portugal was behind when i was a kid, so these movies were on TV all the time in the 90s 😀
Oh! Haha! Does that mean the movies I watched in the 90s came out later for you? That would likely mean we didn’t watch the same stuff like… ever. :p
For the last 15 years we no longer have that problema, cable changed everything 😉
I’ve never seen Twins, but I’m pretty sure I owned all of these except Blue Lagoon on VHS. I think I also owned Look Who’s Talking Too and Look Who’s Talking Now. And I remember the first time I ever saw Blue Lagoon was on television (HBO I’m guessing) I was probably in like 3rd or 4th grade and I was so scandalized.
Lol. I loved the look who”s talking series 😀
Great post. Of course, I’ve seen all of these a million times as well. lol
😀 I have such fond memories of all of them 😀
I grew up with all of these movies, too! And own about half of them now… >.>
😉 I still watch them if they’re on tv 😀
Haha, that’s awesome.
I’ve seen Look Who’s Talking and Dirty Dancing. The others I have no idea about. Can’t wait to see more movies from your childhood 🙂
I remember all of these! Dirty Dancing is my favorite on this list!

I know the first two (though I’ve only seen bits of Blue Lagoon and I’ve never seen Dirty Dancing) but I’ve never heard of the others!
