Here is the conversation I had with my mom regarding “Harry Potter” the Illustrated Edition:
Mom: You don’t actually need this. We already have a copy of this book! (which is paperback and has been read to many times)
Me: Look at it! It’s so pretty!
End of discussion. I won!
P.S. I don’t mind having not so pretty copies of my books, but this is “Harry Potter”, so I couldn’t resist…

Winter is nothing short of amazing! And also, First and Then is totally worth the hardcover, but the actual story itself is great. 🙂
I’m thinking of caving in and getting the hardcover…

First and Then is a standalone, right? I have a few hardcovers and this book can totally nest besides them 😉

yes yes yes to A Darker Shade of Magic!! It’s amazing, as is Vicious by V.E. Schwab. And the sequel to A Darker Shade of Magic is coming out next year, so this is the perfect time to read it! 🙂

Such an amazing list!! I’ll Give You The Sun and A Thousand Pieces of You were both fantastic. I read the first one only a few weeks ago, and it’s already one of my favorite books. I really want to read Made You Up and First & Then, too! 🙂

I’ll Give You the Sun was one of my favorite books that I read last year. It is so good! And the Illustrated Harry Potter is gorgeous and totally urgent 😉

Have you read any Victoria Schwab? If you haven’t, I suggest reading Vicious first and then ADSOM. I feel like Vicious really sets you up on her writing style and her characters to then dive into a bigger book of hers which is part of a series. At least that’s how I did it. Made You Up by Francesca Zappia is gorgeous! Can’t believe I still haven’t read it
I never read anything by her, but i think i’ll follow your advice and read vicious first 😀
Vicious is one of the best stand alones I’ve ever read. Let me know what you think of it!
I’ll Give You the Sun and Winter are amazing! I think the illustrated edition of HP is on a lot of our lists, it is definitely on mine.

Seen as I didn’t know A Darker Shade of Magic would be a series, I was really confused and disappointed with the book hahaha in hindsight that’s changed a little of course, but somehow I doubt it will ever become one of my faves.
I’m curious because se of all the hype 😉

There are some GREAT choices here! I’ve been seeing First & Then literally everywhere lately; I might need to look into it and figure out what the fuss is all about! The Harry Potter Illustrated edition is on my list, as well–it’s just sooooo pretty! I have a feeling I’m going to need every single one of them. XD
