For 2016 I’m doing 2 reading challenges: the Goodreads Reading Challenge, where I’m aiming for 75 books (and secretly hoping I reach 100); and the Popsugar Reading Challenge.
I’m quite excited about the Popsugar challenge. I didn’t manage to finish the 2015 one, but I have high hopes for this year. 😀 Who’s with me?

with you on this! I wasn’t really trying to complete the challenge last year but this you I’ll try to complete it. at least most of it because reading a political memior does not sound like fun reading to me. Just not my thing. If you have a recomendation for this it would be great.

I’m doing the same challenges. Well, I’m not aiming to 75 books (I’m only trying for 60) but I think that this year Popsugar reading challenge is a little bit more manageable than last year
I have to really look at the list and start trying to fit my january books in there…
I have a doubt about that. Do you think that the broken dreams books that we still have to read are considered a book and its prequel?? Also, Winter is going for the retelling category for me
yeah, winter will be retelling for me too… i guess the broken dreams book can go there, right? it is a book and its prequel… 😉
I think so. I know it a novel and a novella but it’s also a book and it’s prequel and I don’t know if I’ll read another book and prequel after this. Also, Carry On might be good for the New York Times Bestseller 🙂

I just bought Voyager and it has over 1000 pages. If I read it it may also be used in the over 600 pages 😀

I don’t know yet but Lady Midnight and Glass Sword are going to be released soon and I hope to read them.

Yes. Also, a book you can finish in one day and a book released in 2016 might be easy too

Os Lusiadas should count.. Maybe this is the year I’ll finally read Fernando Pessoa. I hated it in the portuguese classes because I was never good with poetry. Some are really hard bu we have 364 days to think about it 😛

You have more of a system than I do then! I post so randomly! I thought about wether I should start posting around the same time every day, like say 11 AM or something, but then I just like to be flexible so much.
😀 I only have “fixed” times when I schedule posts, otherwise I don’t care 😉

I failed with the Popsugar one last year, because I didn’t organize myself better with it.
I ended up failing too… I think I was short 10 books or something. Are you doing it this year?
I don’t think I’ll be doing it this year. I’m doing another challenge though to read my books on my shelves that have been sitting awhile. I want to try to read 30 of those. Since I’m always buying books and then they start collecting dust when I buy more haha.

I also didn’t finish the 2015 one, I hate the pressure it puts on me! I just feel I need to finish it so I push myself in December and ended up in a reading slump 😀 That’s why I don’t participate in the 2016 one. Good luck with your challenges! 😀

I’m with you on both, although I only opted to hit 30 of the Popsugar requirements. I wasn’t exceptionally impressed with this year (definitely not to the infatuation I had for last year’s challenge). With you the best!!
