Book Traveling Thursdays: A Book With a Bookish Boyfriend

btt

Hello, welcome back to another Book Traveling 168709Thursdays, which a weekly meme created by Cátia @The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to share the covers of a book related to that week’s theme, which you can see at the Goodreads group, indicating the original cover, the one of your country, your favorite and least favorite.

This week’s theme is “Every book has a special someone! Choose a book with your bookish boyfriend“.  This is hard! I have an obscena amount of book-boyfriends – I might actually make a list of it – but a lot of them belong to books that I either already used, or which covers are not very diverse. So I decided to go classic! And classic means Mr. Darcy! Yes, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Original COver:

The book being over 200 years and all, the original cover was pretty much generic and “classic”. eheh… ugly!

COVER FROM MY COUNTRY (PORTUGAL) & COVER FROM THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN (SPAIN):

As any classic, there are several editions of this book in each language, so I’ll just give a few good ones: portuguese, spanish and catalan editions.

Favorite COVER(s):

I’m a sucker for classics collections, and these are part of some of my favorites collections – that I wished I owned! They’re all from the Penguin collections.

LEAST FAVORITE COVER(s):

There are some truly hideous covers for this book, so I decided to only show a few of the recent ones ;-). I think these are 3 very ugly covers for such a beautiful book. I think these 3 editions are from the US, but it’s hard to tell :P.
