Because I’m currently reading Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins, which action takes place in San Francisco, I thought it would be a good time to share a few pictures of the city, from when I was there almost 2 years ago.
The trip included a lot more than San Francisco… we went to Las Vegas, then LA and then we went by car to San Francisco, stopping a few times along the way. I’ll share the photos of the other places at some point for sure, but I was already blogging at the time, so I actually wrote posts about that trip: USA 2014: Las Vegas; USA 2014: LA and the Central Coast (California) and USA 2014: San Francisco.
In my post about San Francisco – that you can check out here – I talked about how I felt at home there. I did. Incredibly, SFO has some things that remind me of Lisbon, with the high hills, cable carts and so much water… not to mention that the Golden Gate Bridge is very similar to our own Ponte 25 de Abril. But San Francisco has a certain freedom feel about it. I had no trouble walking around, I love all the shops and restaurants, some that were open 24/7. It felt like a more intimate New York…
