Hello, welcome back to another Book Traveling Thursdays, which a weekly meme created by Cátia @The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to share the covers of a book related to that week’s theme, which you can see at the Goodreads group, indicating the original cover, the one of your country, your favorite and least favorite.
This week’s theme is “Because some books have amazing villains choose a book with a character you love to hate!“. For today I chose a villain that I truly LOVE to hate, and that is Arobynn Hamel from the Throne of Glass series. I feel like he’s such a complex character, and I couldn’t help but love his appearances on the books, even though he’s despicable. Because Queen of Shadows only has 3 covers out yet, I chose The Assassin’s Blade.
Original COver:
This is the original cover for the US. It follows the theme of the others Throne of Glass covers and I really like it.
COVER FROM MY COUNTRY (PORTUGAL) & COVER FROM THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN (SPAIN):
No covers for either countries…
Favorite Cover(s):
I might really like the US cover, but the UK one is my favorite. I just like the font slightly better, and the placing too. Also, it somehow feels more vibrant.
LEAST FAVORITE COVER(s):
There aren’t a lot of covers for this book, so my least favorites are the Polish and Russian editions. The polish is not all that bad, it uses the silhouette of the Throne of Glass book and the stripes are the different novellas… but I’m not a fan. The Russian is just… nope, it doesn’t do it for me.
