Hey guys! As you can see by my rating, I freaking loved this book. It was perfect, absolutely, 100% perfect. So instead of doing a “normal” review, I’m gonna give you 10 reasons why this book ROCKED *wink wink*.
1. That Title!
Show hands if you read “c*ck” instead of “rock” 95% of the times… yeah, that’s what I thought! How clever is that?! It’s a bit crude, but hilarious and it goes so well with the rest of the book.
2. Male POV
It’s not secret by now that I LOVE male POVs and the fact that this book is told only through the male POV was a huge bonus for me. To make it even better, Spencer is a cocky, fun and amazing guy. I approve!
3. BFFs to Lovers Romance
I’m a huge fan of this trope and here it’s done perfectly!
4. And a “Fake” Relationship
Another trope that I love if done right, and it is, oh it so is. Being best friends for years, Spencer and Charlotte already have amazing chemistry, but with the fake relationship and practice in the mix… wow!
5. Awesome Cat
Fido is not exactly like Clive from Wallbanger, but he’s hilarious! With a bit of voyeuristic tendencies…
6. Amazing Family
This book did something amazing and unusual: it has a perfectly normal and happy family… despite the fact that they’re super loaded! The parents support the kids and love each other deeply. The kids are great, each doing their own thing. No weird expectations or anything. They are all close and loving.
7. Great Protagonists
Spencer Holiday is AMAZEBALLS! Yes, he’s a cocky guy, but he’s a gentleman. He treats people right. He works hard. He made his own money!!! And he’s funny and he’s not afraid of his own feelings! Charlotte is as awesome :D.
8. Hot and Sweet Romance
Spencer and Charlotte are such a great couple. And they are hotter than hot when they’re together. But most of all, they are great as friends, which makes their sentiments towards each other that much deeper and sweet.
9. The fallout… wow… it’s something!
It was surprising allright…
10. It will make you swoon! Like crazy! But it’s hilarious like hell!!
