Hey! I’ve been tagged to do this a while back, but I finally decided to tackle it. I was tagged for The Wine Book Tag by Keira @Signing On, Jesse @Books at Dawn and THE ORANG-UTAN LIBRARIAN. Go check out their blogs.
Box Wine: a book that people will judge you for liking but you like it anyway!
I think a lot of people judge most of the New Adult books I read based on their covers, but I’m not using any of them here. Instead, I’ll say Twilight. Yes! I like it! I will always like it, even though I now know that it’s not really good, lol. But the fact remains that Twilight was the book that got me into reading, and I’ll always love it for that.
Organic Wine: a book that doesn’t have any added crap in it and is just written perfectly.
Now, I dare you not to judge this following book based on its cover. So, did you? 😛 I have to say Wallbanger, because it was just a perfect read. It’s funny and engaging, and the romance is just amazing. Alice Clayton hooked me with just one book.
Gluehwein: a really spicy, wintry read.
This one is hard! I’m going with Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. It’s definitly spicy, but it’s also heavy and it touches very difficult topics, which makes it a wintry read in my mind. Amazing book!
Sauvignon Blanc: a really sharp and aggressive read that you couldn’t put down!
I have to say Lady Midnight, even though I put it down several times, and it took me weeks to finish it, it was an addictive, sharp and aggressive read. It was also ginormous and heavy! I was freaking amazing!
Pinot Noir: a book you didn’t expect much from but ended up getting blown away!
When I started Anything You Want by Geoff Herbach I wasn’t expecting much. It was receiving such harsh reviews and ratings, and I was honestly scared that I wasn’t going to enjoy it. I’m so glad I was wrong, because this book totally blew me away.
Chardonnay: a good summer read that was super-zesty?
I loved My Perfect Mistake by Kelly Siskind. It’s a romance that it can totally be summer adequate, but it’s super HOT and super-zesty. There’s that bathroom, and Aspen in general, and the sauna… yeah… zesty!
Rose: a book that has a little bit of everything in it.
I feel like the Penryn and the End of Days trilogy by Susan Ee is a perfect balance between everything I like in books. It has the perfect balance between action and romance, it has amazing main characters and an amazing inanimate object. And it’s fun and sarcastic, and I love it.
Shiraz: A full-bodied book that is dark and juicy
Hmmm… Queen of Shadows, for sure! Such a satisfying read for me. It’s dark at times, and full of secrets, I felt like almost everyone just knew half the story, which made it extremely juicy.
Merlot: a smooth easy read with a soft finish.
ADORKABLE!!! This book is amazing! It was an easy, fun, fast and satisfying read, and it had an a very soft finish. It was a finish that was perfect for the main characters, even if I wanted to know a lot more.
Champagne: Your Favourite Book
I can’t choose one favorite book! It ain’t happening. I’ll give you one of my favorite books instead, ok?
Us by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy went to my top as soon as I read it. It just messed way too much with my emotions, and I was hurting for my babies.
