Greek Mythology Tag

booktag_greekmythology

Thank you so much to Deanna @A Novel Glimpse, for tagging me to do this tag, the Greek Mythology Tag. I love Greek Mythology, so I find this tag amazing and fascinating 🙂 .

Zeus (Jupiter): God of the Sky and Thunder / King of the Gods

Favorite book (choose your own category!)

This one is always hard, so I’ll say a favorite YA Contemporary Romance that I read this year of 2016, and that is Adorkable by Cookie O’Gorman. The title alone is amazing, and the book is so cute and adorable – read it!

Poseidon (Neptune): God of the Seas and Earthquakes

Book that drowned you in feels

Incredible, Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins drowned me completely in feels. I can’t even explain it, but I cried and cried and cried. So so good!

Hades (Pluto): God of the Underworld

Favorite book with a dark / ominous plot

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover is definitly dark and ominous, but I can’t explain it better than this 😛 . You should read it though, because it’s so good.

Hera (Juno): Goddess of Marriage and Family

Cutest fictional couple

I’m still very much in love with Jamie and Wes, from Him and Us by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy. I just think they’re super perfect for each other, and they’re the perfect balance of funny and romantic and they’re just awesome.

Athena (Minerva): Goddess of Wisdom, Handicraft and Strategic Warfare

Series with the best world-building

I love the world building in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, by Sarah J. Maas. I find the courts fascinating, and I can’t wait to enter A Court of Mist and Fury and see it expanded.

Aphrodite (Venus): Goddess of Love and Beauty

Most beautiful cover on a 2016 release

I would say that the upcoming Nicola Yoon book, The Sun is Also a Star, is probably one of the most gorgeous books that will come out this year. I mean, look at it!

Ares (Mars): God of War and Bloodshed

Most violent book you’ve ever read

Well… I could go with Game of Thrones, but I’ll say The Hunger Games instead. This is definitly a very violent book, especially because we’re talking about kids killing each other =/.

Hephaestus (Vulcan): God of Blacksmiths and Fire

Scorching hot swoon worthy character

Hmmm, so so many! Today I’m gonna say Kolton from My Perfect Mistake, the first book in the Over the Top series by Kelly Siskind. He’s just… yummi!

Artemis (Diana): Goddess of the Hunt and Virginity

 Favorite Kick-Ass Heroine

Because I’m reading The Rose and The Dagger by Renée Ahdieh, I need to say Shahrzad. She just kicks ass and I love to read about her. She’s so stubborn and dedicated and strong.

Phoebus Apollo (Apollo): God of Light and Healing

Sequel book that redeemed its series

This is hard! “Redeemed its series” is a serious expression, and I don’t think that’s exactly the case here. I liked the first book of this series, Spanish Lessons, the thing is I LOVED Lessons in Gravity.

Hermes (Mercury): Messenger God of Thieves and Commerce

Book with the best message

I really liked the message within Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. I like that choice is important and so is live instead of just existing.

Hestia (Vesta): Goddess of the Hearth and Home

Book with the most relatable story

Is there any other answer than Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell? Is there anyone more relatable than Cath? 🙂 Seriously, I just feel like she represents a lot of us here in this corner of the web. Now I just need my own Levi.

Demeter (Ceres): Goddess of Fertility and Agriculture

Favorite bookish setting

I really like The Lunar Chronicles setting, because not only is it set in the future, but the action occurs all over the world and in space too – THE MOON!

Dionysus (Bacchus): God of Wine and Celebration

2016 release you are most anticipating

I’m highly anticipating 2 books right now, one of them is Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, and the second is The Goal, 4th book on the Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy (which still doesn’t have a cover… I NEED A COVER!).

Thank you for tagging me! Trust, I would’ve done this tag even if you hadn’t because I am obsessed with Greek mythology if you couldn’t tell though I am spending almost the entirety of this month reading Greek mythology haha

Thanks for tagging me on this one, looks great! Seeing your picks reminded me I have Cinder and ACOTAR on my massive TBR pile, I really need to get around to reading them 🙂

Agree 100% about how Fangirl is so relatable! Also, the world building in ACOTAR is excellent, but I really loved a lot of other books with amazing world building, Narnia and The Chaos Walking Trilogy to name a few 🙂
