The Deserted Island Book Tag

desertisland_booktag

I’ve had this tag here in my drafts for a long time now, so I thought it was time to finally get to it, especially because it reminds me of summer for some reason. I was tagged by the amazing bloggers Joey @Thoughts and Afterthoughts and Jesse @Book at Dawn, and if you don’t know their blogs yet, what are you waiting for?

Water: A book you simply cannot live without

All of my babies? Just kidding! There are definitly books that I need in my life and that I see myself re-reading them a lot in the future, and one of those books is Carry On by Rainbow Rowell.

Food: A book that is a close second on your favourites list

I haven’t mentioned The One Thing, by Marci Lyn Curtis, for awhile, so let me correct that. This book is amazing! It was one of my favorite books that I read last year, and I’m still bummed that it didn’t get more hype, because it totally deserves it.

Shelter: A book that makes you feel at home and safe

For this question I have to chose a contemporary, because those are generally safer than fantasy or sci-fi, so I’m saying My Perfect Mistake by Kelly Siskind, which is a NA romance that I LOVED and that is funny, heartwarming, romantic, cute, …, it’s awesome!

Flare Gun: A book you would recommend to someone who doesn’t read

I think Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon would be an amazing book to start with. The writing is easy, fun, light and beautiful, and the format of the chapters make it a super easy and fast read. Also, the story is amazing.

Matchsticks: A book that warms your heart

Now people, do not judge the cover! This book is beyond amazing and heartwarming and lovely and now I want to re-read it! Wallbanger is one of my favorite romances, Simon and Caroline are awesome and this book definitly warms my heart. Also, CLIVE!

Compass: A book that directed you towards your love of reading

I’ve mentioned a few times that the Twilight series made me love reading, so I’m saying a book that influenced me onto a certain genre, and that was what Right Where You Are by L.E. Bross did for me. This wasn’t my first NA book, but it was one of the firsts, and it was definitly the one that made me realize “damn, I like this!”.

I tag everyone who hasn’t done this tag yet and wants to!
