Jennifer Nolan has been unlucky when it comes to love; even more unfortunate when it comes to sex. In fact, the twenty year-old college junior is about to enter her senior year still carrying her v-card. All she wants is to be with that special someone without it resulting in a trip to the emergency room, runaway office supplies, or being scarred for life by someone’s weird fetishes. With several botched attempts under her belt, she begins to fear she’ll end up a lonely spinster or a crazy cat lady.
With only 60 days until her 21st birthday, Jennifer is determined to lose her virginity once and for all. Little does she know that her mission will lead her down a path toward love. She never expects that her mission will lead her to a discovery of what true womanhood is, and where true and lasting love begins.
I bought this book on a Kindle deal a little while back, and on a whim decided to start it because it sounded so funny. And boy, funny it is!
This book is told in a single POV, from Jenn’s POV, and Jenn’s voice is fun, funny and real. I really liked the writing, the prologue had me laughing so much that I was afraid I would wake someone.
I really liked all the characters. Jenn and all her roommates, Kinsley, Luke, Christian and Chloe, are fun, different, but all awesome friends. I really loved the relationship between the five of them. I read books with roommates all the time, but these felt like a family and it made me love them all even more.
The book is about Jenn finding love, while her goal was to lose her virginity, and realizing the real difference between infatuation and the real thing. I’ll tell you that there are two love interests, and I was happy that I called the real one pretty early in the game. The romance (both of them) is so so sweet, and it was great to see Jenn find herself and what she wanted by experiencing some things, especially letting go of her fears.
Overall this was a fun and light New Adult Romance, with a university setting, with low heat, that I highly highly recommend!
