Hello, welcome back to another Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is:
Ten Facts About Me (bookish or just general about you facts or ten facts about you as a blogger…whatever you want)
So, let’s see if I have 10 facts about me to share…
1. I’m still on a high about Portugal winning the UEFA EURO 2016
… So I’m apologizing before hand if I keep repeating it, and if I keep retweeting stuff about Football (Soccer), but I’m extremely happy and proud of these boys. Check out my post about it, here.
2. The Netgalley request button is my enemy!
Seriously guys, I need some self control here. I was doing super well a couple of months ago, but now I have 30 books to read on Netgalley, and some are for September and after. I request anything that sounds good… I have a problem!
3. … So is the One-Click Button on Amazon
It’s not even funny… if the book looks half good and it’s free, I get it. I’m hoarding books like crazy!
4. I’ve been kind of addicted to Wicked Tuna in the last few days…
… it’s just addicting.
5. I haven’t been into TV shows in months
This is weird for me, since when I started this blog it was mostly about tv shows. But lately I haven’t really been into scripted TV, I just can’t seem to bother to sit through a 45 min show… =/.
6. I love starbucks
Seriously, I love it. It makes me happy!
7. But I don’t like chocolate drinks
Yeah, give me starbucks, but none of those drinks with chocolate and shit. No no. Coffee, ok? I hate mochachinos, or when people decide to put chocolate on my delicious cappuccinos. It doesn’t go in there!
8. I’m in love with e-books
I was one of those people who thought that e-readers sucked and only physical books rocked. Then in August last year I got my Kindle. And then on January I uncovered the Kindle app for my phone. I haven’t looked back since. Now most of my monthly reads are on the kindle/app, and I love it.
9. I’m also in love with New Adult books
This should come to no surprise, but NA has been my go to genre lately, and I love it. To be honest, I just haven’t been in a big mood for fantasy.
10. One of my favorite things to eat are salads
I just love them. For me, the perfect meal is lettuce, arugula, onions, tomatoes, avocado, cucumber, feta cheese, dressed with salt, olive oil and vinegar… and now i’m hungry!
NetGalley’s Read Now button is even worse 😛
ahah 😀
NetGalley and the request button are terrible… so bad for my TBR and feedback ratio XD
No chocolate in drinks??? How can you do that??? Chocolate might be the one of the best things in drinks (well, after caramel and vanilla :P)
netgalley is bad for us 😛 (because it’s too good!). Hmmm, yeah, not a fan of chocolate, unless it’s hot chocolate, then i like it. I like hazelnut, then vanilla, then caramel 😛
Uhhhh… Hot chocolate. Now I want hot chocolate and it’s too hot to drink it
lol
hahha OMG the One-click Amazon button is the actual devil.
YES!
You can’t go wrong with a good salad haha. Despite the fact I wish Wales were in the final, I am glad that Portugal won – mainly because I can now say Wales lost to the champions. 😛 That amazon button is also my weakness. Sometimes I don’t even realise I’ve hit the button haha.
I loved Wales in the championship. Wales and Iceland were amazing. yes, I don’t even know what i bought half of the times
#2 & #3 – YES. All my yeses. lol. My TTT
eheh 😛
I loved your facts!! It was interesting to read about you. 🙂
I’m so jealous of everyone who has Starbucks…it’s sucks when you live in a different country. eh.
My TTT, if you are interested. 🙂
I’m sorry, here it is: https://happinessismypassion.wordpress.com/2016/07/12/top-ten-tuesday-ten-facts-about-me/
worry not, Starbucks in portugal is a relative new thing. I remember going abroad and drinking a lot of it because we didn’t have it.
I remember when the Netgalley request button was my enemy. I had to stop myself, because I was drowning in ARCs and of course my own books. One-click button though…that will be the death of me and my bank account. I love Starbucks too, but they always get my drink orders wrong. It’s never correct and I don’t know why I even keep going. I like their food though, so I guess there’s that.
i’ve been trying to impose a netgalley ban, and i’m failing miserably. especially because the arcs for september/october are coming now… oh, my lack of self control! I like their food too 🙂
I can definitely see why you’re buzzing about Portugal winning the Euros.
Interesting facts. I have the same problem with the request button and one-click button. But at least we never run out of books to read 🙂
well, there’s that! 😉
I started reading this then got to Wicked Tuna and stopped to check it out… I’m finally returning after watching tons of clips. 9 FOOT TUNA?! Ok i’m hooked. I love it.
Amazon One Click Buy button is my enemy, I luckily have been able to stop myself with Netgalley and i’ve not gone too crazy yet. I’m trying to focus on my TBR this summer because the amount of books on my bookshelf is crazy, I need to get through these first!
WICKED TUNA IS THE BEST!!! LOL, it’s fun and amazing, and I’m always holding my breath when they go check out the quality of the fish.
I know right! Thanks for introducing me to this!
😀
Those book request/buy buttons are so dangerous! There should be like 5 “Are you sure?” buttons before you can request/buy books. Nice list!
LOL, something tells me that sometimes the 5 buttons wouldn’t be enough to stop me, eheh
Yeah, you’re probably right!
Lol! I love your memes 🙂
The gif for the salad is actually me. I love salads so much. Sometimes I’ll order just a salad at restaurants, and my friends will be like “are you on a diet? But you’re so skinny!” I just love lettuce, y’all. I carry a bottle of French dressing in my purse.
I’ve actually never heard of the Amazon one-click button, but since it’s Amazon Prime Day…*spirits away to buy a mountain of books*
Feel free to check out my TTT!
eheh, you carry french dressing in your purse? that’s too funny!
Haha! Netgalley is evil! :p I have banned myself from requesting any books as of late since I have too many other books I have to read first.
Oh man! How can you like Starbucks? Their coffee is terrible! But I will agree with you on the chocolate in coffee thing. That kind of bothers me.
It just tastes strange.
My TTT
eheh, i like coffee based drinks there, but I can’t drink espresso there for some reason
At the end of your post I was hungry too … all the things I cannot eat … I am getting super moody because of the lack of food in my life hahaha
eheh 😀 (you’re better now!)
Omg I totally feel you on Amazon haha. ‘Oh look pretty cover! AND IT’S FREE’ *click*
eheh, such a huge problem…
I’ve instituted a 3-book limit on NetGalley, because…well, you know how that goes. My ratio has been grateful ever since. 😀
yeah… i can’t do that 😛
