Hello, welcome back to another Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is:
Ten Characters I’d Name A Child/Dog/Cat/Car/Etc. After — we did this topic back in 2011 and thought it might be fun to revisit it…feel free to spin it how you need!
I’m using 10 characters’ names that I totally love and would freely use on kids, pets or appliances.
Totally love the names! When I think about names for future imaginary children, I always wonder if my grandma would be able to pronounce and write it hahaha that’s like a big dealbreaker. So if names are too “English” it’s always a little tough.
omg, that’s so thoughtful of you :D. I wouldn’t care, to be honest, lol
Well, I don’t know. I’ve just seen her struggle with names of kids of friends and I felt sorry for her. And I also don’t want either one of my grandmas to always get confused about the names of my children xD it’s more selfish than it sounded. But … kids are not in the immediate future, so we will see if that’s a topic anyway.
lol, you just reminded me of my mom and grandmother, who can’t seem to learn the name of my brother’s niece, even though she’s 13 yo!
Hahaha that’s funny but also really bad though!
it is. I was just on the phone with my grandma, and she was like “Meira is coming on sunday too” “grams, her name is mAira” “yeah yeah, Meira”… oh damn… she’s a fixture in our lives since she was days old!!!
Hahahahaha that’s brilliant!
it’s ridiculous. the names don’t sound nothing alike =/
LOL old people, right?
my mom does it too… yeah she’s old, but she doesn’t have that much of an excuse…
Hmm, true. My dad is pretty resilient to anything that’s unusual or foreign too though. XD so, I don’t know. I still think it might be a generational thing.
it sucks! They even write the name wrong on the christmas presents! poor girl…
What!? That is bad! My family sometimes has problems with pronunciation but at least they don’t write it wrong …
oh yeah, they both do it wrong… and I correct them every single time… it’s tiresome…
I can imagine!
Great choices! 😊
I love Levi and when I read the book, I totally thought it’d be one of those names I’d use in the future. Great list!
eheh, i love his name. Levi… lovely! 😀
I do like Penryn 🙂
Love all the names!
I wanted to put Jamie on my list, too, but it’s my best friend’s name and I thought she wouldn’t be too happy about that. Glad to see it made your list! 🙂
My TTT.
I almost used The Goal for the name though :P, but then I didn’t want to spoil anything for anyone… 😀
I love them all! One of my favorite top tens lists this week! 😊
thank you 😀
You’re welcome!
I love these names, particularly Levi and Miles. I could so see my children with those names despite the fact that I’d like to have some Welsh names in the mix as well. I’ll have to find a happy middle haha
ahah! I love them both too. And Miles and Levi would be good names for siblings.
Great names! Levi landed on my list as well 🙂
