Hello, welcome back to another Book Traveling Thursdays, which a weekly meme created by Cátia @The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to share the covers of a book related to that week’s theme, which you can see at the Goodreads group, indicating the original cover, the one of your country, your favorite and least favorite.
This week’s theme is “2016 is coming to an end… Choose a book you want to read in 2017!“. I’ve been meaning to read I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson for awhile now, so why not use it for this week’s BTT?
Original COver:
I absolutely love the original US cover for this book.
COVER FROM MY COUNTRY (PORTUGAL) & COVER FROM THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN (SPAIN):
I love love love the Portuguese cover, it might be my favorite! The book is also out in Spanish and Catalan and I like that both editions used the original cover.
Favorite COVER(s):
I love the Portuguese edition, the original one and the Chinese cover – isn’t it just pretty?!
LEAST FAVORITE COVER(s):
There are some bad covers for this book, but these are the worst in my opinion: Bulgarian, Russian, Polish and Serbian.
I was kind of tempted by this cover too but this book is just not what I like
oh, that’s too bad =/
This is interesting. I thought the book would have the same cover regardless of the country. Why wouldn’t the cover be the same with the title printed in the appropriate language? Why go to all of work to change the artwork as well? There is always much for me to learn in this world.
The Portuguese edition is my favorite too. Happy reading.
each publisher decides the cover for each country, most books end up having lots of different covers 🙂
This book has been in my TBR pile for agessssss… It has such a pretty cover and everything I’ve heard from the plot/characters is good! 🙂
same 🙂
I love the Portuguese cover. Not sure what Poland was thinking!! I hope you enjoy this book. It’s definitely an amazing read 🙂
i hope i do too 😉
I need to read this one, too. I have been saying I want to, but haven’t done it. Story of my reading life.
same, same… so many books, so little time 😉
I LOVE this book!!!! It’s sweet and sad and funny, and I love it so much – you’ll not regret reading it whenever you get around to it.
awesome :), I plan to read it at the beginning of the year, so I don’t forget about it again 😉
