Hello, welcome back to another Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme is:
Top Ten Books I Wish Had (More/Less) X In Them (the original idea came from Andi who suggested top ten books I wish had more kissing which I thought could be fun but also realize it might not be everyone’s thing! Could also be top ten books I wish had more diversity in them or top ten books I wish had less violence in them or less romance focus in them or top ten books I wish had more dragons in them. IDK! Have some fun with this one!)
I’m not choosing a theme, instead I’m going book by book. 🙂 Click on the book, if you want to check out my review of it!
I agree with Forbidden. The way adults in the book can get away with really sickens me. At least I wish Maya could tell her mother how fucked up she is.
yeah, there’s no accountability at all. I wish that mother had been punished somehow 😦
I can relate to wanting less homophobia in a book. Sometimes I just want to read a blissfully happy LGBTQ+ book! But I think it’s important to have some books that discuss it, though, because I think we pretend that it doesn’t exist in our society anymore when it definitely does. So idk.
i agree, i think it’s important to have it, so we can look at it and say “well, that is unacceptable”. But with this book it was a little bit more than that, most of the town was homophobic, including the main character, who was a lesbian. so it really really didn’t work for me.
I like how you did this. I haven’t read any of the books on your list.
thank :), some are not worth it, though…
“Less sex”??? Now I’m curious about this book! lol. Also, it bothers me when hockey books don’t feature hockey! Like if you’re using hockey on a cover AND in the synopsis, but don’t feature any hockey, that’s not cool. Awesome list!

yeah… let’s just say that the “less sex” book has way too much of it, and it didn’t make much sense to be honest.
Definitely more hockey! One of the best “mores” of the week’s lists. Right up there with cowbells. lol
😀 i’m all for more hockey
OMG. Say Something…I so agree with you! And that’s saying a lot since we both like sexy times in our novels!
I love what you did with this post BTW.
right??? We love some sexy times, but that book? way too much…
I LOVE the way you did this week’s TTT! I’ve seen a couple “more kissing” posts, but none of them had Ari & Dante on it, even though I’d give my left arm to see some smooches with them. Fantastic list!
My TTT!
thank you! I’m hoping that the sequel will have lots of kisses between the guys
I like how you didn’t just pick one topic, but instead made it very specific for each book!
to be honest, it was easier 😀
hahaha okay, I can see that.
OMG I love the way you did this weeks Top Ten Tuesday !!!
thank you 😀
I love your take on this week’s theme!! I can agree with two of these, more Diversity for Off-Campus and less stupidity for Daring the Bad Boy.
eheh, I just wanted to bang my head into the wall at some point while reading Daring the Bad Boy
