The Dragon’s Loyalty Award

Hey!!! It’s time for an Blog Award post 😀 .  Michalah @Cape Town Dreamer  nominated me for the Dragon’s Loyalty Award – thank you so much! So, here’s how it works…

1. Display the award on your blog
2. Announce your win with a post and link the blogger who awarded you
3. Present 6 deserving bloggers with the award
4. Link your awardees in the post and let them know of their being awarded
5. Write seven interesting things about you.

1. I should be in bed right now, instead I’m scheduling posts for the next couple of weeks, to make sure that the blog will be alive while I’m away – you’ll read this on the 18th, but that not when I wrote it 😛 !

2. I also just finished packing, and realized that I didn’t brought enough formal clothes from Portugal. Again, by the time you read this, I’ll be in Japan, and the clothing won’t matter anymore! 😀

3. I might be slightly addicted to Twitter… I know understand why I avoided it for years.

4. I’m super late on all my TV Shows and I don’t like it. But at the same time, I like the extra time for reading… decisions, decisions.

5. I love to bake and I miss it! I think I gave this fact a couple of times already… oh, well… I also love to cook.

6. I knitted the 4th Doctor scarf! I reduced it a bit, but it’s still large as hell. I did it for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary celebration in London.

7. I don’t own many fandom things, but I do have 10th’s Sonic Screwdriver and Hermione’s wand.

That is it! I won’t do the tagging, ok? I have no idea who has this one, it has been around for a while now. 😉

The Original Questions:

1. If you could meet anyone from throughout history, who and why?

Wow… tough question right there, especially considering how I’m not good in History… at all. But I would probably like to meet one of the big portuguese writers, Luis de Camões, Gil Vicente or Fernando Pessoa.

2. What is your favorite book and why?

One? Oh… nop, I can’t!

3. Who is your favorite fiction character from any medium and why?

Spencer Reid from Criminal Minds is probably high top on my list. Reid is fantastic, he’s smart, funny, loyal, caring, did I said smart? Like crazy smart! And he goes by Doctor. So, him. Also, he’s played by Matthew Gray Gubler, and I have a huge crush on him.

Jordan’s Questions:

1. What is something, not necessarily that you regret, but wish you could do over?

I would go back to my 3rd year of college and I would do over that and the 4th years (and so on). I don’t regret anything in particular, but a lot of things went wrong those years and I know I could have done things differently – not that I think I acted wrong, but I would probably care less and see people for who they really are, so some stuff wouldn’t get me as hard as it did.

2. Why do you like to read? And don’t just say because it’s fun! Make it mean something!

I like to escape reality. Sure, it is fun, but I like to enter a life that it’s not my own, and getting to know all these people and places outside my realm of possibility.

3. Who is your person?

This is a tough one, really. I should say my best-friend, and in some points she is “my person”, and I think I’m her person as well, even though she claims I’m not her best friend. (It’s all very weird)…

My Questions:

I liked Jordan’s questions, so do you mind if I keep them?

1. What is something, not necessarily that you regret, but wish you could do over?

2. Why do you like to read? And don’t just say because it’s fun! Make it mean something!

3. Who is your person?

My Nominations:

500 Followers!!! Wait… WHAT?!?!

OMG!!!! 500?! I can’t believe I reached 500 followers! THANK YOU ALL so SO MUCH!

500WOW, I’m still in awe! It’s always good when WordPress notifies you of something, but this was beyond amazing. I wanted to thank you and I thought that maybe I could share some facts and stats about this blog, sounds good?

  • I started this blog in January 2013, and the mains focus of it was movies and Tv Shows, I added books more recently.
  • I maintained an awesome number of 200+ followers for months on end, the numbers skyrocketed when I entered the book blogging community.
  • This will be my 765th post!
  • This has been my second best month in views ever, with a total of (so far) 7,500! My best month ever was August last year, but I don’t count it as real because my main viewed article was about The Crazy Ones and coincided with Robin William’s death =( .
  • I have a total of 121,108 views, 4,292 likes (3,700+ this year alone), with 3,838 comments. This makes me very happy!
  • I have now 142 followers on Twitter, 100 of which I gain this past couple of months.
  • My most viewed post this month is: My Top 15 Movie Couples (on a random note, I really need to updated my Tv and movie lists and work on one for books)
  • I’m so very grateful to everyone who takes some time to check out this blog. Huge thanks!
