Hello, welcome back to another Book Traveling 168709Thursdays, which a weekly meme created by Cátia @The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to share the covers of a book related to that week’s theme, which you can see at the Goodreads group, indicating the original cover, the one of your country, your favorite and least favorite.

This week’s theme is “Choose a book that has originally a red cover”. This one is easy! I’m choosing The Secret Diary of Lizzie Bennet (The Lizzie Bennet Diaries) by Bernie Su and Kate Rorick. I loved this book, because I also loved the web series. And now I want to see it again…

Original & Favorite COver:

I think this cover is true to the series somehow. I wasn’t a fan of it at first, but the truth is, I grew fond of it.

LEAST FAVORITE COVER(S):

I actually like the German edition… it just doesn’t relate to the web series in my head.

This week’s theme is “Choose a book from a genre that you don’t read that often but loved anyway”. I’m going with You’re Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) by Felicia Day, which is non-fiction, and an autobiography, which are two genres I don’t read that often. I loved this book so much!

Original & Favorite COver:

I love this cover. Felicia looks so pretty here 😀 .

LEAST FAVORITE COVER(S):

This is the Czech edition, and it’s not that I don’t like it… I just don’t like it as much as the original one.

This week’s theme is “Mother’s Day is on a few days… Choose a book with your favorite bookish mom”. I’m going with Good Boy by Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen, the first book in the new WAGs series, because it has 2 amazing moms in it. Jess’ mom is awesome, but she’s a Canning, so we already knew she was awesome, but Mama Riley is just as great, and always super supportive of her wonderful boy.

Original (and only) COver:

At first I was a bit reticent about the covers for the new series, but now I really really like it. It fits well with the mood of the story.

This week’s theme is “Because in Spring time we tend to read more contemporary… Choose your favorite contemporary read”. I’m choosing a book I finished just yesterday and was so so cute! The Distance Between Us by Kasie West.

Original COver:

I always find Kasie West’s cover pretty cute, and I love this one, though I don’t think it really represents Caymen and Xander.

COVER FROM MY COUNTRY (PORTUGAL) & COVER FROM THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN (SPAIN):

No portuguese cover, but in Spain they kept the original cover, which is cool.

FAVORITE COVER(s):

I think the Indonesian cover is pretty cool. And of course, I really like the original cover too.

LEAST FAVORITE COVER(S):

My least favorite covers are: German, Russian and Indonesian.

This week’s theme is “Choose a book that has originally a blue cover”. I’m going with Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway, which I finished recently and really really liked 😀 , and it definitly has a blue cover.

Original COver:

I like this original cover, and how it incorporates the fingerprints and the sea, both important to the story.

COVER FROM MY COUNTRY (PORTUGAL) & COVER FROM THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN (SPAIN):

The book is not out in Portugal or Spain, so no covers yet.

FAVORITE COVER(s):

I like  the original cover, for the reasons mentioned above. I also dig the cover from the Netherlands, because it has pretty huge elements on there, I look at it, and it reminds me of the story. Then there’s the German edition, and I love this one a lot. I like the font, the color, and the little people surfing there.

LEAST FAVORITE COVER(S):

I actually like the French and UK covers, but just not as much as the other ones.

This week’s theme is “Spring is here! Choose a book you want to read this Spring”. I’ll for sure read The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater this month, and it’s Spring, so let’s look at those covers, shall we?!

Original COver:

I really really like the original cover. There’s a raven there, so yeah…

COVER FROM MY COUNTRY (PORTUGAL) & COVER FROM THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN (SPAIN):

No portuguese cover, but a spanish one… and they kept the original one, so YAY!

FAVORITE COVER(s):

Is it just me, or is this Nook edition absolutely stunning?!

LEAST FAVORITE COVER(S):

These are my least favorite, and I don’t think I truly need to explain why, right?! The French, Bulgarian and Russian covers.

This week’s theme is “It’s Take a Walk in the Park Day… choose a book that always relaxes you“. I loved Carry On by Rainbow Rowell and it definitly relaxed me while I was reading it 😀 .

Original COver:

I really like the original US cover.

COVER FROM MY COUNTRY (PORTUGAL) & COVER FROM THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN (SPAIN):

The book is still not out in Portugal, but it’s out in Spain and they kept the cover, and title is something like “I’ll die kissing Simon Snow“, eheh

FAVORITE COVER(s):

I love the original US cover, the new US paperback cover, and I think the Italian one is pretty cute too 😀 .

LEAST FAVORITE COVER(S):

My least favorite is definitly the UK cover.

Book Traveling Thursdays: A Book With a POC MC

This week’s theme is “International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination was a couple of days ago… Choose a book with a POC as a main character“. For today I’m choosing a book that I’m in love with :D, Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde, where one of the main characters is an australian-chinese kick-ass girl.

Original & Favorite (and only) COver:

This cover!!! I LOVE IT! That’s it, nothing more to say about it…

Book Traveling Thursdays: A Book With A Strong Female MC

btt_gold

Hello, welcome back to another Book Traveling 168709Thursdays, which a weekly meme created by Cátia @The Girl Who Read Too Much and Danielle @Danielle’s Book Blog. The goal is to share the covers of a book related to that week’s theme, which you can see at the Goodreads group, indicating the original cover, the one of your country, your favorite and least favorite.

This week’s theme is “Yesterday was International Women’s Day. Choose a book with a strong female MC“. Today I’m going with Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan, because Bree goes through a lot and she’s always always strong. You should read this book.

Original COver:

I really like the original cover 🙂 .

COVER FROM MY COUNTRY (PORTUGAL) & COVER FROM THE COUNTRY I LIVE IN (SPAIN):

So, no cover for Portugal, but the Spanish cover mantained the original, which was smart of them.

FAVORITE COVER(s):

My favorites are the original one, the Polish cover because I just find it aesthetically pleasing, and the German one because it actually reminds me of the book.

LEAST FAVORITE COVER(S):

I don’t even get what the Italian cover is, because nothing in this book is related to that cover. Then we have the French cover, which is similar to the original one, but it just doesn’t work for me at all. And then the Indonesian one, which is lovely, but it reminds me of an historical romance or something like that… and no, Archer’s Voice is not that!

Book Traveling Thursdays: A Book I Would Recommend to Everyone

This week’s theme is “It’s National Read Across America Day! Choose a book that you would recommend to everyone“. Tough topic! Lol. I’m choosing Born a Crime and Other Stories by Trevor Noah, because it touches such important themes.

Original & Favorite COver:

I love the original cover, it’s what caught my attention when I first saw it on Netgalley 😀 .

LEAST FAVORITE COVER(S):

This is the South African cover, and though it’s not bad – Trevor Noah is always a hottie – I don’t really love it.
