Sherlock: The Abominable Bride

The Sherlock Special, airing on the January 1st 2016, has a name, and it’s eirie… The Abominable Bride. A new trailer was released (below) and I’m super excited for this one, because even though they are clearly out of the time we are used to, they’re still the same ūüėÄ . Also, they confirmed that season 4 will begin production in the Spring of¬†2016, so we have a light at the end of the tunnel…

Sherlock: Christmas Special Clip

It already feels like Christmas! After so long without having anything “Sherlock“, two goodies in two is AMAZING! A special clip from the Christmas Special was released (see below).

It looks so good (how I have missed Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes…). Is gives us nothing in terms of plot, but it’s great as it is. Also, they announced at Comic-Con that the Special will have a theatrical released in selected theatres.

#221back #Sherlock #notkidding

Sherlock is back on track! Well, at least they already have a script for the special Christmas 2015 episode and they had a table read today, according to BBC.

The boys apparently also posed for a photo with the attire they’ll be using for the Christmas special, though I’m not sure that’s entirely true… let’s admit that Benedict looks too much like himself in that photo and not at all like Sherlock! And Martin has the mustache back?! Hell no! =P I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but at least things are moving along!!! =D

My Top 20 TV Couples: 5 to 1

Because today is Valentine’s Day, supposedly the Day of Love, here are my top 5 from my Top 20 TV Couples I’ve been doing for a few days. Top 20 from last year can be found here, Top 20 TV Couples 20-16, 15 to 11 and 10 to 6 here.

5. Mary & John Watson (Amanda Abbington & Martin Freeman) ‚Äď Sherlock

Mary and John are the only couple to make into my Top 5 that have only been together for 1 season, in a show that has now only 3 seasons and 9 episodes. They‚Äôre that good! She has a shady future and he thrives on bad situations. They are unique and their love is awesome, why? Because you only forgive your wife from lying to you, shooting your best friend and choose not to learn about her past if you really love her. Mary‚Äôs love for John is also quite evident, as she clearly states that there was nothing she wouldn’t do to prevent him from finding out about her past and Sherlock‚Äôs shooting. I just love them. I know some people think she‚Äôs coming in between Sherlock and Watson, but I never saw them in that way, so I see her as an awesome addition to the party! It must also be noted that Amanda‚Äôs onscreen chemistry with her real-life partner, Martin Freeman, is amazing.

“The problems of your past are your business. The problems of your future are my privilege‚Ä̬† ¬†¬†

4. Piper & Leo (Holly Marie Combs &¬†Brian Krause) ‚Äď Charmed

After all these years, Piper and Leo are still in my Top 5 TV Couples! One of the best couples ever! It took them all show to finally be happy and live their lives as they wanted them, but they did it. They went through fighting the Elders, the Demons, the Avatars, and so many other things, but they managed to end up together, grow old together, in a house full of children and grandchildren. Good for them!

“Piper, through all the tears and struggles, I always knew in my heart that we’d make it here. I promise to love and respect you from this point forward as your husband, as my wife, my lover, my friend, and my soul mate. All I am is yours.”

“Leo, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I was afraid that you were too good to be true, that maybe I didn’t deserve someone so pure and beautiful and loving as you are. But here we are surrounded by the people that I love the most and I feel so proud, and so blessed to be your wife. Leo, I was born to love you and I always will.”

3. Chloe & Oliver (Allison Mack & Justin Hartley) ‚ÄstSmallville

I have to admit that I haven’t started watching Arrow yet, because I don’t want to let go of this image of Ollie, and I don’t want to let go of Oliver with Chloe. I loved their story, it was unexpected, romantic and the poor guys suffered a big deal. But, because it’s fiction, they got over everything, got married, moved to Star City and even had a baby boy!

“Oliver… I never thought I’d have to tell you how I feel about us, because the smile on my lips when I looked at you… pretty much said it all. But now that you won’t be seeing it anymore, I’ll have to use words to tell you. I’ve never loved anyone the way I’ve loved you. And I never will again. You will always be my brightest star, my knight in shining leather, my hero.”

“It’s the best decision, I don’t remember making.”

2.¬†Monica & Chandler (Courteney Cox &¬†Matthew Perry) ‚ÄstFriends

They just lost n¬ļ 1 because of Pam and Jim, but they are still very much one of my ¬†all time favorite couples. They are another couple that proves that friendship is the base of everything.¬†Chandler is the only man on TV to have¬†successfully¬†escape the “Friend Zone” – note that Jim and Pam were never of the “Friend zone” because they always loved each other. They never broke up when things got hard; he faced his fear of¬†commitment;¬†they dealt with being in a secret relationship, coming out, finding out they weren’t able to¬†conceive¬†and went through an adoption process, … They’re the best!

“My wife’s an incredible woman. She’s loving and devoted and caring. And don’t tell her I said this but the woman’s always right… I love my wife more than anything in this world. And I… It kills me that I can’t give her a baby… I really want a kid. And when that day finally comes, I’ll learn how to be a good dad. But my wife… she’s already there. She’s a mother… without a baby…”

1. Pam & Jim (Jenna Fischer¬†&¬†John Krasinski) –¬†The Office

Have you ever seen The Office?! If you have, you understand: Pam and Jim are the best couple in TV… ever! Jim waited forever for her, while she’s was engaged to some other guy and he won her (in truth, she already loved him too, but was too scared to admit it). They eventually star dating, survive a long distance relationship, got engaged, got pregnant, got married and even managed to get through that terrible last season, where Jim’s job drove them apart. He gave up his dream job, because she was more important, and in the end, she gives up everything because he deserves it all! They are amazing and The Office is totally worth watching, even just for them.

Small things, like the way they smiled at each other, the way she used to put her head on his shoulders…

… that epic proposal in the rain,…

Their reaction to finding out that Pam was pregnant, how much they knew each other,…

… and then there’s this…

… and this (and I could be here posting pictures of them all day, but I wont).

And this is way they’re my number 1!!!

“Four years ago, I was just a guy who had a crush on a girl, who had a boyfriend. And I had to do the hardest thing that I‚Äôve ever had to do, which was just to.. wait. Don‚Äôt get me wrong, I flirted with her. Pam, I can now admit in front of friends and family, that I do know how to make a photocopy. Didn‚Äôt need your help that many times. And, uh, do you remember how long it took you to teach me how to drive stick?¬†I‚Äôve been driving stick since high school, so‚Ķ For a really long time that‚Äôs all I had. Little moments with a girl who saw me as a friend. And, a lot of people told me I was crazy to wait this long for a date with a girl I work with but I think, even then I knew that‚Ķ I was waiting for my wife.”

Sherlock is back

OMG, i¬†don’t know how I’m gonna survive with only one more episode of Sherlock! They kept us waiting long enough, but it has been¬†totally worth it!

Sherlock & co came back better than ever, and Mary was an amazing addition to the mix. Also great this season so far is having Mycroft (Mark Gatiss) in 2 episodes so far and Molly (with her new boyfriend) as well.

I’m loving this new chemistry between Sherlock, Watson and Mary. I feel that she and Sherlock get along quite nicely. I just love it! =D

The Empty Hearse

The first episode begun with a wild theory of how, in fact, Sherlock is alive. The writers really did a number on us. By the end of the episode we only learn that there were 13 possibilities of how to survive and Sherlock shares one of them (one we can almost certainly exclude as the right one!).

Mainly, almost everyone has (or is trying to) move on. John has a new girlfriend, Mary, Molly has a new boyfriend (who shares some resemblance to Sherlock) and Mycroft needs his brother in London. John doesn’t react that well to Sherlock not being dead, well, he’s happy is not dead, is just not happy that he wasn’t one of the 20 plus people who knew about it. John punches Sherlock… a lot!

Molly becomes Sherlock assistant for one day and we can almost see him being a bit human! But Mary eventually turns John around and he helps his friend. All ends well!

The Sign of Three

This is by far my favourite episode of Sherlock yet! We get a wedding, Bachelor Party, Sherlock and Watson drunk, Sherlock making napkins designs and seating charts, two attempted murders, a few cases,¬†Alfie Enoch¬†in a uniform and shirtless (bonus points) and the best Best-Man speach in television… ever!

There’s not a dull moment in this episode, with different cases presented that are somehow connected and hilarious moments such as the speech or when John asked Sherlock to be his best man, or Mary playing both boys so that they remain close. Loved Sherlock’s interaction with the Maid of Honour, Janine, who we all kind of thought was kind of perfect for him, right? How about Irene Adler’s appearance in Sherlock’s puzzle solving? Is that really Alfie Enoch/Dean Thomas? He’s all grown up now!!! =D

The big news was that Mary is pregnant! And somehow, after so many people telling that marriage changes people, I think Sherlock ended up believing that things were going to change between them… =(

Sherlock gets a return date… on the US

The long wait for the third season of Sherlock is coming to an end! PBS has announced that the Sherlock will come back to the world of the living in the show’s third season, that is going to start airing January 19th.

BBC, however, has not set their return date for the show yet, but I guess it’s safe to assume that it’s will be around the same time, right?

This brilliant show has been on a prolonged hiatus since the beginning of 2012 due to the fact that both its stars spent the last 2 years filming high profile motion pictures, such as the Hobbit trilogy, where Martin Freeman plays the lead character, Bilbo Baggins, and Benedict Cumberbatch gives live to the Smaug/The Necromancer, or Star Trek Into Darkness, where Benedict plays the villain Khan.
