YAY! Netflix released yesterday a few photos of the upcoming show Marvel’s Jessica Jones. Take a look.
Since Netflix announced the several shows that they would be producing with Marvel, the one I’ve been more interested in has been “Marvel’s Jessica Jones“. Not only will it feature a female superheroes, but Krysten Ritter (who is one of my favorite actresses) plays the main character, and also David Tennant (one of my favorite actors) plays the villain.
The logo for the show was finally released yesterday, and the show is set to premiere later this year. It will be set within the same small universe of Daredevil (inside the major MCU), and Rosario Dawson is even set to drop by as Claire, first introduced in Daredevil.
Best news I got yesterday when I was getting ready to go to sleep: Netflix has renewed Daredevil for a second season, which will be available in 2016.
I’m still a few episodes short of finishing up the first season, but I’m really excited about this. I just hope that all the other Marvel/Netflix series to come are as good and receive the same treatment.
“With the first season of “Marvel’s Daredevil” proving a smash success with both audiences and critics, Netflix and Marvel will continue to create further adventures of the Man Without Fear! Doug Petrie (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “American Horror Story”) and Marco Ramirez (“Sons of Anarchy”), who worked closely with Executive Producers Steven S. DeKnight and Drew Goddard during the first season, will serve as showrunners for Season 2. Petrie, Ramirez, Goddard (“Cabin in the Woods”), and Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) will serve as Executive Producers of Season 2.
“While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season,” DeKnight explains, “I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can’t wait to see what they do with the show moving forward.” – Marvel.com
When news came out that David Tennant would be playing Kilgrave on Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones it was like two marvelous worlds colliding, but even better than actually reading the news, were the pictures of David Tennant at Marvel HQ!
Yep, Marvel.com reports that the former Doctor took some time while at NYC to visit the headquarters of Marvel and the pics are just wonderful.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt premiered last week on Netflix, 13 episodes at once, and if you haven’t watched it yet, what the hell are you waiting for?!
The show follows Kimmy, who has been locked by a cult leader in a bunker for 15 years, while she discovers the world. Tina Fey and Robert Carlock created a genius of a tv show right here, and Ellie Kemper, Jane Krakowski and Tituss Burgess are just wonderful.
I can’t wait for the second season.
It’s out! Marvel’s Daredevil trailer was released today and it looks GOOD! Damn, I like this really darker tone to this superhero.
The show will debut on Netflix on April 20th, with all the episodes made available. The show is the vision of Steven S. DeKnight, with Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock (a.k.a. Daredevil). The rest of the cast includes Deborah Ann Woll, Rosario Dawson, Toby Leonard Moore, Bob Gunton, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Ayelet Zurer, Elden Henson and Vincent D’Onofrio.
Have you seen the trailer for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt?! No?! GO WATCH IT! I admit that when I saw the title I thought “no way I’m going to want to watch this” and then I swallowed my words and I can’t wait for the show to come out.
Originally created for NBC, the Tina Fey and Robert Carlock show was sold to Netflix, where it will air coming March 6 (all 13 episodes on the same day!). And bonus good news?! Second season is already ordered =D.
