The X-Files!!!

First picture of shooting was released today and wow…

I guess it’s about time to binge watch all seasons this summer, and re-watch the movies and all… I want to be ready!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀

Random Casting News

A lot of things have come out on this last days about the castings for the new shows and existing shows coming this fall.

First of all is a not so very good news (at least for me): Captain Gates is no more. Yes, Castle will not have the adorably grumpy Captain coming fall, as Penny Johnson Jerald will not be returning for season 8. I really don’t like this, and I suspect that the game plan will be putting Beckett in charge of the 12th, but I don’t think that’s right… that’s jumping way to many hoops to get there.

On a much happier note, Sendhil Ramamurthy will reprise his role as Mohinder in Heroes Reborn. I always loved Mohinder, and I LOVE Sandhil, so I’m pretty excited about this!

Speaking of Heroes of some sort, Arrow’s Tommy will move to Chicago. Yes, Colin Donnell is the new series regular at Chicago Med, and he’s thought to be playing a doctor in pediatrics… oh my… By the way, Chicago Med was just pushed up to the fall!!!!! Yeah!

Joel McHale, fresh out of Community, just landed the first guest role in the X-Files revival. He’ll be playing Tad O’Malley, who is a conservative Internet news anchor who becomes an unlikely support for Mulder. Excitement forming!

And I guess it’s time to catch up on Elementary, as John Noble was cast to play Sherlock’s dad next season!!!

Agents of SHIELD upped two of its members to series regular, Henry Simmons, who plays Mack and newcomer Luke Mitchell, a.k.a. Lincoln. I’m quite happy about this, though not having yet seen the last 5 episodes of the season, I’m a bit wary of both of them. In the meantime, I really want to know what’s Nick Blood’s status, because that’s the one I want to stick around.

If I still watched Grey’s Anatomy, I would be pretty happy about this news. Jason George was just promoted to series regular. I’m still happy for Jason though, I absolutely love him 🙂 .

What I’ll be watching new next season (FOX)

Upfronts week has gone by and the networks worked hard at releasing small promos and trailers for their new shows coming next season. FOX has 6 new shows that I’ll be giving a look at:

The X-Files will be back, so I’ll obviously be watching! (I also don’t think it needs introducing…)

This is probably the show I’m most excited about on FOX. The whole premise sound cool and fun and I can’t wait for it to start.

Based on the Vertigo comic book series and characters created by Neil Gaiman. Lucifer tells the story of a bored Satan leaving Hell and coming to live in Los Angeles, where he helps LAPD punishing criminals. With Tom Ellis, Lauren German, D.B. Woodside, Rachael Harris, Nicholas Gonzalez, Lesley-Ann Brandt and Scarlett Estevez.

Minority Report

I liked the movie well enough, but I honestly think that the show has the potential to be even better!

The show picks up 10 years after the end of Pre-crime in DC, where one of the three Pre-cogs, Dash struggles to lead a “normal” human life, haunted as he is by visions of the future. But then Dash meets a detective who just may help him find a purpose to his gift. Starring Meagan Good, Stark Sands, Laura Regan, Wilmer Valderrama, Daniel London, Li Jun Li, Zhane Hall.

The Frankenstein Code

This is the new show from FOX that I’m more unsure about. Let’s see how it goes…

A modern reimagining of the Mary Shelley classic, about a man brought back to life by two scientists playing god. With Rob Kazinsky, Dilshad Vadsaria, Adhir Kalyan, Tim DeKay and Ciara Bravo.

And this is the new comedy that I’m most excited about. The cast is excellent and the trailer is so much fun.

A longtime bachelor’s life is upended when he discovers he’s a father, and a grandfather. Starring John Stamos, Josh Peck, Paget Brewster, Christina Milian, Kelly Jenrette and Ravi Patel.

The Grinder

The other comedy I’m quite excited about. Fox has decided to invest on 2 “middle” aged man (extremely good looking) to front their new comedies and I think they may be quite right.

About a famous TV lawyer who decides to move back home and join his family’s real law firm – despite having no formal education, no bar certification, no license to practice and no experience in an actual courtroom. With Rob Lowe, Fred Savage, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, William Devane and Hana Hayes.

The X-Files will be back!

Oh Yeah! The X-Files is to return to TV after a 13 years absence. Fox has announced today the order of 6 episodes to be shot sometime this summer, to air sometime next season!

And do you want more good news?! The original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will be reprising their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully!!! I’m so excited about this news!
