The first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse is out! I’m totally loosing my sh*t over here, because it looks awesome, and I love the X-Men and it looks freaking amazing!!!

Pictures from X-Men: Apocalypse
I just love when EW shares some photos of a new movie to come. This time it’s X-Men: Apocalypse and we get a first good look at all the mutants, old and new.
I love Storm’s hair! I wish Jubilee had her short cropped hair, but that is very 80’s. Olivia Munn looks great as Psylocke, and I love that the costume is VERY true to the comics… but I don’t know… something is not quite right…
Havok will be back in X-Men: Apocalypse
This just keeps gettin better!!!
Bryan Singer has confirmed that Lucas Till, who played Havok in X-Men: First Class and made a (very) small cameo on X-Men: Days of Future Past, will be back for X-Men: Apocalypse.

This is amazing news. There’s a small question of the ageing up… Young Lucas Till will now be in the 80’s, that is, 20 years older than on X-Men: First Class. Other big (very big) question, is what will his relationship with Scott Summers be. On the comics Alex is Scott’s younger brother, but given that here Scott is a teenager and Alex will be pushing 40, I wonder how will they spin it.
X-Men: Apocalypse adds Olivia Munn as Psylocke
And we’ll have Psylocke! Bryan Singer has confirmed via Instagram that Betsy Braddock will be in X-Men: Apocalypse, played by Olivia Munn.
I’m a little conflicted by this piece of news. On the one hand, I LOVE Psylocke, she has always been a favorite of mine from the comics, if she was featured in a cover, I was sure gonna get it.
But, Olivia Munn?! I don’t know, I honestly don’t know. She can do great, and I hope she does, seriously, but with all this new additions to the cast, this very young blood, I don’t know how she’ll fit in… We’ll see…
I just hope they don’t mess Psylocke up, between her and Jubilee on screen… I hope they do justice to both.
X-Men: Apocalypse, Angel or Archangel?!
Warren Worthington III, or Angel, is an important part of the X-Men, he’s also one of the first members of the mutant team. You might remember him from X-Men: The Last Stand, though I rather remember him from the comics and original animated series. (I was particularly fond of him when he was dating Psylocke… I really like Psylocke!)
Why am I talking about Angel?! Well, today Bryan Singer confirmed that Ben Hardy has been cast to play Angel. Here’s what he had to say: “Ben Hardy is Angel – I shall confirm it for you! But he’s not a very nice Angel! And that’s all I’ll say…”. Yeah… with that, they also released two pieces of Angel concept art…
See, those wings look a lot more like daggers and not really like feathers, right? So, what are we all thinking?! This Angel is going to be Archangel, that it, the Horseman of Death! He doesn’t look very blue though… I’m so excited!!!
Jubilee is coming to X-Men: Apocalypse
Yesterday, Bryan Singer took to Instagram and Twitter to announce a new casting bit for the new X-Men: Apocalypse. Newcomer Lana Condor was cat as none other than Jubilation Lee, a.k.a., Jubilee.
She first appeared in “Uncanny X-Men” #244 and was created by Chris Claremont and Marc Silvestri. The character’s mutation allows her to create and control energy plasmoids akin to fireworks.
When I first started to watch the X-Men animated series (and subsequently reading the comics), I had a few favorite mutants, Cyclops and Jean, Rogue and Gambit, Psylocke and the kid with the yellow raincoat. Yeah, Jubilation Lee was always one of my favorites! Maybe because she was so relatable. When the movies came out though I was fairly disappointed that although she was always seen in the background, Jubilee never had the significant role she ought to have. So I’m super excited that not only is she making an appearance, but that her casting is important enough to be divulged like this 😀 !!!
Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse also stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Kodi Smit-Mcphee (Nightcrawler), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops) and Oscar Isaac (Apocalypse). The movie reportedly starts shooting this summer and will hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
X-Men: Apocalypse! Meet the new (old) mutants!
The casting is out. After some time of speculation over who was going to play Jean, Storm and Cyclops in the new X-Men: Apocalypse, that will be set up in the 80’s, director Bryan Singer took twitter to announce the results.

So, here we have it. Sophie Turner (a.k.a. Sansa from GoT) will be playing the fierce and powerful Jean Grey. I can see it, I think Sophie is amazing – playing Sansa and dealing with all the s**t from people all of these years must have prepared her for this. And besides, I can see a little (very faint but there) of Famke Janssen in there.
Alexandra Shipp will take the role of Ororo Munroe or Storm, filling in the shoes that once belonged (and technically in the future still do) to Halle Berry. No objections about this, I am not familiar with her work.
Finally Tye Sheridan will be young Scott Summers or Cyclops. Again, I do not know his work and can only guess that he’s extraordinary. That said, he looks nothing like James Marsden, and although of similar age to Sophie, he looks younger than her. I do hope that it somehow works in terms of chemistry between the two actors.
